Give all the trash mobs 3x the health pools and 1.5x the armor. Give all bosses 2x the health pools. Everything falls over before they do anything and it’s boring. It’d be nice if Ragnaros had time to spawn his babies before dying. Firelords die before they spawn adds, which on private servers wasn’t even achievable until people were in bwl gear. Have to be in a real banana IQ guild to face any remote challenge in MC.
Private servers have admitted they buffed raids outside of Vanilla range. The point of Classic isn’t to provide a challenge using 15 year old content. Retail has plenty of challenge for raiders.
Retail is garbage. It’s completely irrelevant to Classic.
I rather they dont do that.
I am a big #nochanges guy, but I would support undoing every content nerf that went in before 1.12.
So you want changes.
It wouldn’t matter much. The class overhauls and itemization changes were more than enough to trivialize the early raids. When Naxx broke the guild I was in, we rebuilt with 35 fresh new raiders. I literally played MC with a sandwich in one hand…
Scaling factors that don’t fundamentally change anything about the game.
I feel like you don’t understand what nochanges means, you just really dig the phrase. What I discussed is 100% authentic vanilla.
Actually yes, that’s part of the point. Classic was supposed to provide an RPG challenge (gear checks and rotations), not a mechanical challenge.
People who think classic can survive if it provides no mechanical OR rpg challenge are delusional.
Meh. It’s not supposed to be mythic raiding. It’s supposed to be fun for people to get together with their friends and down bosses. Especially the case with MC. Vanilla raiding is more akin to Normal mode in retail. Maybe Naxx gets heroic. But that was the design.
So that we can give those that rushed even more of an advantage? They already had exp bugs and layering to help them out, last thing we need is to have them be the only ones that got anything out of MC.
Also, a large proportion of the population is regular people that will likely be running MC once a month with PUGs. Buffing it would just put a larger disparity between tryhard guilds and everyone else.
I got to 60 the first week from questing, and taking a week off work. No exploits required.
That’s what happens when everyone knows how to defeat everything in WoW and you’re expected to tow a VERY fine line in following it EXACTLY so you aren’t hated and blacklisted.
The fun in discovering things is dead, it almost feels like a job sometimes.
The multi-tier difficulty for a single raid paradigm didn’t exist in vanilla. It wasn’t even thought of until several years later. Every raid in vanilla was designed to be a challenge, even Molten Core.
Vanilla means Vanilla, and 1.12 is Vanilla. Deal with it.
What we have is not vanilla, that should be obvious to everyone. Otherwise we would not have had layers.
Nobody promised Vanilla. They were very careful to say they were giving us Classic.
While we’re at it. We need things like Ignore Pain or other mitigation effects to deal with the fact that the tanks would be dead on the first trash pull. Oh, and we should give Paladin’s a taunt, since we’re making changes anyhow.
Oh wait, if we give Paladin’s a taunt, we’ll need items that actually let them tank. So add those to the list.
And on and on, and on and on.
#NoChanges
My point is if they keep nerfing stuff that (some) people used to get to 60 and buffing things that those people have already completed- it will make the disparity between regular people and those that rushed even larger. Also, you don’t need to exploit to have an advantage over everyone else, being ahead of the curve is also a huge advantage.
-If they buff MC without giving me a better way to get gear for PvP, I’m out.
