Just finished an Ashran where we literally ran to Trem and ended the BG in just a few minutes.
This isn’t how the game is supposed to be played. The npcs did nothing…we barely even needed a healer at all.
You could claim that the enemy team should have defended their base and you’d be right but everyone leaves their bases wide open in the beginning and makes this possible. They just fall over
Buff the npcs, not the tree and rock dude. Theyre fine.
I would be overjoyed if an epic BG only lasted a few minutes. 30 minute turtle fests are the worst.
As for the NPCs, its okay if theyre weak. BGs should be about PvP not PvE, and every Ashran I have been in where the enemy team attempted a backdoor rush our team called it out in chat and wiped them. This just comes down to team communication and strategy.
Whats epic about killing a weak npc in less than 5 minutes? Imagine if AV was this way and Van just fell over with no towers down.
I mean, it’s fine if your only goal is to farm honor but honor is very easily gained anyway.
It doesn’t seem to be intentional.
It’s just pve at this point
I’d actually love to see a return to the full Ashran bg where everything actually worked.
So are you wanting the boss to be tougher or the surrounding NPCs? I just don’t want more PvE mobs in BGs, even epics. But if the boss is just dying too fast then that could be buffed I guess. My goal when I queue for epics is to get my weekly quest done, or get the daily conquest from it, so the most epic thing that could happen would be for it to end swiftly.
Just the boss. I’d be fine with that.
People need time to respond and as it is, trem dies in less than 2 minutes
this accounts for most npcs in the game outside of dungeons, all grandma difficulty
What you seek is not epic battlegrounds then.
Right, I’m seeking the conquest.
It’s not like a hate epics but when I’m trying to gear up I’m not looking to drag out matches for fun. And usually epics tend to be one sided which isn’t fun anyway. I’ll admit they are fun when you get the rare close match.
If it’s just the conquest you want, try Blitz. Not only is it faster but you can even get some conquest for losing.
Or hell even find someone to do 2’s with if that’s your thing.
Yeah… it’s still worth it to queue epics for me if there is a weekly and even for the 110 daily because it’s going to be a win about half the time and usually they don’t take too long.
I also do blitz and solo shuffle.
Buff me and I’ll replace Volrath, and then I will fire and rehire new guard NPCS to surround me.
Horde needs all the help it can get. LOL
He does fall over with hardly any towers down. Annoys me. Should not be able to fight the main boss in AV unless you get all towers down IMO. Might as well shove a Disc Priest in as the boss, it would last longer.
this guy right here is the only shining light in a darkness of pug teams. when the rest of the rush blazes past the field of strife this player actually engages the other team and gasp! PVP’s in AV!!
The main bosses and mages definitely need to be buffed. It’s getting close to where a handful of well geared players can pretty easily kill a boss in under a minute.
