Budget rig for WoW

Hey all,

Currently i play wow in a gaming cafe in my city (Melbourne, Aus) but ive been back into the game for a while now that i feel like i can actually justify getting my own PC for…

BUT!

I know nothing about computers at all, i just want something that will run WOW to a pretty high standard without breaking the bank for…

What kind of price range should i be looking at? Bearing in mind im in Australia.

Any help appreciated

What is your target monitor resolution? But if you want a budget rig, this will get the job done.

Core i5-12400F
MSI B660M-A Pro Wifi

or

AMD Ryzen 5 5600
Asrock B550M Pro4

8GB DDR4-3200 X2
RX 6600 XT 8GB ( for 1920 x 1080 )
Kingston KC3000 1TB
MSI A650BN or Corsair RM 650W power supply
Tecware Forge M2 case

step 1 - make a plan, how long do you plan to keep the hardware, any future upgrades and time table?
step 2 - find the resolution and performance settings you want to play at
step 3 - see what kind of hardware will get you to that performance
the web site logical increments has a page dedicated to wow hardware builds
the youtuber hardware numb3rs has WoW benchmarks
the web site Tom’s hardware has CPU and GPU hierarchy charts to compare performance

those tools will allow you to start thinking about what kind of hardware to look at it and that is your budget.

If your budget does not mean your plan and desired performance, one or more must change otherwise you will not be pleased with the results.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen those two PSU as alternatives of one another other than both being made by the same company although different platforms and internal parts

He did not provide budget. One lower tier and one higher tier as options.

INTEL Arc770 with 16 gigs VRAM for your budget GPU.
