Budget headset?

Does anyone have a suggestion for good budget headset? I really like listening to music and I use it for games but only so I don’t have my speakers making noise at night. It does need a mic though as I talk to my friend every once in a while online. I would prefer around $50 but I will up to $70-80. I was using a corsair void stereo gaming headset from 2015 and it was fantastic until I stupidly broke it.

What I care about most:
Audio quality
Build quality
Comfortable for long use, goes over the ear

Less important:
Mic quality, it just needs to work

Stupid things that I don’t need:
7.1 surround sound
RGB
Wireless

i could opt for a more music-centered headset than a gaming one. Gaming headset music quality is just eh

and if you don’t care about the mic then it’s even less meaningful

Razer Kraken X

I just bought a pair of wireless Razers a few months back an they are the most comfortable things I’ve ever worn over my ears.

I spent about $100 on mine, but the Kraken X goes for around 50-60.

It may have changed in the past few years, but for the longest time buying a “gaming headset” was just a good way to ensure that you got junk headphones and a junk mic. The old “standard” was a good pair of standalone headphones (Sennheiser HD600/HD6XX for example) with a separately purchased modmic attached or a standalone desk mic.

I have a HyperX Cloud Stinger. Best Buy $49.99

Use it on my PC, and PS4. Sounds great to me and have not had issues.
My brother had a more expensive head set for his PC that broke.
I bought him one of these, and he says it sounds better than the
head set he had.

I am using a set of wired Corsair HS60s.

I don’t use the microphone too often (it works enough), but I use them daily for music when I’m working.

They sound okay, especially if you’re listening to something that’s bass focused, but the mids and highs are below average to just alright.

I actually went for the Corsair H60s myself because they were in my budget and fairly decent. Reviews online kept saying the Stinger broke down pretty often, which made the Corsair H60s more appealing. Was originally looking for the Hyper X Cloud II headset I bought like 3 years ago, but those have sky rocketed in price.

I listen to synthwave/chillwave or video game soundtracks most of the time. They sound pretty good on bassy tracks.

I use a Logitech H111. Super budget headset, but it’s pretty decent and it lasts me about 6 months.

I currently use Turtle Beach Ear Force XO Seven Pro…which would be a good choice if it wasnt $250 (at least…it was $250 when I bought it.)
So, I would say the Razer Kraken is a pretty solid headset for around $70 or so.

The Logitech G430 is the Tyler1 OG. Cheap and works perfect
