Buddy and I are rerolling Horde on Grobbulus tonight between midnight and 1AM EST. We’re starting Tauren Shaman/Hunter, but we’re also going to roll Undead Priest/Warlock, and I’ll probably end up making a second priest, too. We were playing Alliance on Rattlegore, but we fizzled out, along with most of the friends we had when we started. I’ve seen a fair number of people looking for others to level with, so I thought I’d extend the invitation to any and everyone!
If we get enough, I figure we can do a guild, but that’s down the road.

what a coincidence, I’ve been mulling over a shadow priest 3rd alt for about 2 hours now and I can’t decide on whether or not I want to play undead or troll. if i make up my mind soon enough i’d be happy to join you for leveling
Priest races are soooo hard to pick. Unique priest racials are one of Vanilla’s coolest quirks.

I agree but I’m more worried about the aesthetic; I’m trying to imagine how either would look when geared up and which I’d like better. I fully intend to use this shadow priest exclusively for hunting lowbies in wPvP once they’re leveled and geared, and I have to consider which race would be better suited to that, too. I wish class racials weren’t exclusive to Priests; anything that enhances RPG choice is a big yes for me.

Not really.
Horde only has two priests, Troll and Undead, the first for pve and the latter for pvp.
Dwarf is the best Alliance Priest and Human is a second place. And Night elf is probably the worst.
My Alliance Priest is a Night elf anyway.

I’d swap your human and night elf rank.
Nelf has wisp form to run back after you die. You’ll be doing that a lot, since you failed to pick dwarf, so that makes it better than hooman.
