So he wasn’t in shadowlands which means he’s not dead. Did he retire? Did he get stuck in the warlords of draenor time-line? Seriously though, bring back Budd.

This requires Blizzard to find their sense of fun again, which is something we all desperately want. The absurdity that was the flavor of minor characters like this really added something to the game, and this sort of thing dates back to spam clicking in the original Warcraft. The rotation of developers has probably left people in charge who just forgot about these, or didn’t feel connected enough to bother with them.

Was he in other expansions besides Cata?
I simply remembered him being silly in Vashj’ir during the intro and a few other quests.
Not sure what happened to him afterwards, though.
He was good comedic relief!!
My memory may be failing me but I think the first time he showed up with was in TBC with the original Zul’Aman, after which he showed up in WotLK in Grizzly Hills.
He was around Zul’Aman, he more or less took credit for killing Zul’jin, got hella cursed after throwing ZJ’s blood into a fire, and then popped up in Grizzly Hills thinking he was a troll.
He was also one of the Tavern daily questgivers in WoD.
