I have a Reckoning paladin that does just fine in the level 60 PvP here. A lot of it is based on the player too. But no, shamans are not top of the top in SoD.

and I 100% agree its player experiance. I beat shamans as a feral all time (even though im NOT SUPPOSED TO AT ALL.) becuase most of them dont even try to correctly totem kite. HECK MOST OF THEM 1 SHOT THEMSELFS WITH FLAME REFLECTOR. But when u meet an ACTUALLY good shaman, one that goes to tournaments. Your going to find out real quick the POWER they hold.
… but very VERY few of the good shamans remain. so you may never see them sadly. You not dueling them all the time horde side and knowing the good ones kills half this arguemnt as well. (it sounds like) You fought random shamans in the open world and in BG’s and not serious duelists? Mabey im wrong and you did go to a cross faction tourney? i would love a clip becuase that means i missed it 
and tournaments are the best part of the game for PVPers in classic wow.

Well first off all, not that any of that matters as it’s a logical fallacy here, but there are absolutely people that put them that high. Including people I play with who are R13/R14. Not that it would even matter. I like how “I only listen to YT that agrees with me” has now become a valid and standard response to this.

No they aren’t. BOOMKINS are strong ranged burst. They are not better than shaman. They lack the survivability and utility of shaman.
Huh, weird. So strange that ALL these unconnected people keep seeing and coming to the SAME conclusions. Must just be them copying each other, it can’t be shared experiences being repeated over and over and over again because of the fact that shaman have such a powerful and overwhelming kit that it’s obvious when you fight them how different it is from every other class.
I always love the reckoning paladin players. They truly have the least grasp on the situations because they stack up one shots and think that’s something standard to PVP.
Yea I beat shaman too. Bad ones. But it’s VERY obvious when you run into them and they know what they are doing. Just earlier killed a shaman but took over 2k damage just from lightening shield passive and another 2k from flame shock dot DESPITE cleansing the dot as fast as I could. It’s kind of hard to argue that a hyper tank with instant cast heals and no tradeoffs can do passive 4k damage to melee and that’s balanced. At least if they had to actually hard cast something and risk a kick or interrupt there might be more to the situation. It’s just how uninteractive their kit is. And God forbid they are an orc where they have a 25% stun resist that feels more like 100%.

riptide is only decent with 30 points into resto and 5 of those points in the talent row right before the last one.
way of earth has negatives to it , mostly ganking the range of all their main spells by 20 yards (meaning 10 yard range on lightning bolt / chain lightning / lava burst) and their earth shock to melee range.
cant have wolves and root at the same time.
again i think all tank spec/rune/gear combos are in need of being looked at and honestly will say of all of them , shaman is the best performer of them all but again all of them need looked at in pvp.
the real problem of it is people running the zg full set for the 10% proc instead of 5% proc per tick.
also people facing tank shaman are using the wrong tactics as melee feeding them blocks only makes them stronger and someone pelting them at range so they cant block it is preferrable and needed.
but i dont care enough to point out all of the nerfs and changes cause you are not worth to effort to even research and post them.

Honestly, if ya’ll want changes. Protest. Stop queueing for any PVP activity.
Doesn’t matter the complaint. Warlocks to OP? Don’t queue. Warriors busted? Don’t queue.
If that fails to get the devs ‘motivated’ to do their jobs. Then unsub and put the “unbalanced PVP” as the reason.
…you won’t even have to unsub that long; 2 months tops. And the execs will order the devs to address balance issues.
Sod will be dead in 2 months and Xtra will be in BGs losing to bots

@Avelmaegwyn Im sure you dont want the strongest classes getting nerfed. I cant imagine why? Surely its not becuase its broken and sucks the fun out of the game for every other class, but hey your enjoying it right? And thats all that matters. I mean who needs balance and good design anyway right

Also nerf boomies, and meta draining felguard locks. These broken classes/runes have had enough time in the sun.

OP wouldnt be saying shamans are the top of the top like this if they actually played SoD. Do they even have a SoD toon? Doubt. You know what OP said to all of us here? As I have been saying Shockadins and Reckonings are good. Vids across multiple times in SoD. But yea…nerf shamans…alrighty then. Skill issue. No way you people are sitting in near full R14ish and still have this much problems with shamans when so many other people have zero problem. It’s like what? Same 2 dozen posters spamming this anti shamans stuff back to back for months now out of the 70,000+ people still playing SoD…still got this small group of players saying they cannot be beat.
