Just really starting to get into blacksmithing and I wanted to know some of the prices you all paid for, or if a BS, charged for your work… Example: Someone wants a Everforged Great Axe…if they provide the mats vs me providing them…how much do I charge?
Personally, I have stopped having a price per items. I charge the same price across my crafters: 5k. On my server cluster that seems to be an acceptable price. Want a baton? 5k. Want an enchanter’s hat? 5k. Some decide to pay more, and it’s their call. Exception is the PvP items. Those I let decide their fee. I gave up arguing prices with the city dwelling, never do a WQ , PvP paupers.
I don’t think I’ve ever provided the mats for anyone this expac. My process is - you provide rank 3 mats and pay whatever you’d like. Usually I rely on resourcefulness, especially with blacksmithing, to get an even better tip. If they’re making you provide the mats, which I don’t know why they would, I would just charge them the cost of the mats + a bit more for the trouble.
The AH being so very close to the WO place, there is no excuse at all for the providing mats thing. It also opens the door for all kinds of whining. You charged me too much for those alloys! Prices are so n so! I checked! Ima report yous!! Like if you can check, you can get them, so why didn’t ya?
To be fair I’ve not had anyone actually ask for mats. (Except guildies of course) And haven’t seen one ask for concentration in a long time.

Can use it to make some R3 reagents with less ideal mats on my own. Answering calls for items I have filled the wheels lets me do that. Compared to the mettle system, it is very much welcomed.
