Can we please get official word on when this goes away? I decided i was gonna save for it when i found out SL got delayed, but now i’m hearing it’ll be gone with prepatch?
Also if that’s the case, can we please reconsider keeping it until SL launch? Seeing as how it’s gone for good and SL is being pushed back, it seems fair to me.
Official word has always been Pre-patch.

Where did you read that? I searched online and could only find an article of blizz saying its being taken away at SL launch. but now i’m hearing otherwise from players.
EDIT: it wasn’t an article, it was a Blue post on the forums that said it’ll be gone when SL “goes live”

The Mighty Caravan Brutosaur section has been revised to reflect that the accompanying Feat of Strength—Conspicuous Consumption—will be earned if you purchase it from either Battle for Azeroth vendors prior to pre-patch or from the Black Market Auction House afterward.

We did. It goes away at prepatch, which is Oct 13th. They announced that months ago.
Here’s the bigger question - you survived how many expansions without an AH mount until today? Why is it such a big deal now? I guarantee getting back to a capital city from wherever hub in SL will only take a few minutes at most.

Still not too late to learn how to make gold! Great time now to learn so that you have the gold in the future to buy it off the BMAH if you really really want it that badly.
You could also get lucky and get it in an unclaimed chest for really cheap (probably)!

I dunno i like to collect things. Also when i heard SL was delayed, saving for bruta became like a challenge and kinda sparked my interest in WoW a little more. was looking forward to seeing if i could pull it off before launch.
The fact it’ll be essentially unobtainable for me very soon just makes me want it more lol. It’s not a huge deal, but would have been cool if they pushed it back to SL launch
It going away gives it a sense of exclusivity, which makes players want it.
If they made a bag of poop available for 100k that wouldn’t be sold ever again after 3 days people would buy it.

it was given LONG ago it is going away in the pre patch. i highly assume 1st phase as they are doing a Split pre patch. so October 13th is your dead line.
You should still start saving for it and try to buy it from the BMAH. It’s a win/win, you’ll have a very large amount of gold & still have the ability to get the mount.

I got the Brutosaur mount about a month ago. I can honestly say I have no regrets buying it. I love being out anywhere in the world and able to sell and buy things on a whim. It’s also nice not having to send 50,000 things in the mail to an alt to sell at the auction house.
The less I have to go to Orgrimmar or Stormwind the better for me. I love those cities, but sick of seeing them so much expansion after expansion.

I enjoy this also. Initially, I had to remind myself of the AH feature, however, now I’m using it a lot. I love that I’m not mailing things to my alt. I just sell and keep going.
