Broxigar’s Axe model was datamined back in June of 2024 around the phase 4 launch and has still yet to be seen in-game. With Hyjal being partially opened up for the Ashbringer questline, what are the chances of there being additional content in the works post Scarlett Enclave?
Personally I think this would add some much needed flair to the game and help horde combat all of the 1-shotting Ret’s swinging Ashbringer around right now.
Even if it isn’t a full phase release, still plenty of options to work with for the development team.

It feels like paladins are being the favorite child rn, they got a whole new tier set for a playstyle they have, on top of a legendary they can use.
I am happy that paladins (alliance players) are eating well, but come on, a legendary axe will be a great addition.

This is huuuge. Good information.
Some more food for thought…
I just got done completing the Secret Agents & 17 quest line obtained from killing Khonsu 17 times. There are multiple NPC’s and assets that were datamined very early in SoD and weren’t discovered or implemented until P8.
Who knows if they’re still cooking with another content release which includes the Broxigar’s Axe and maybe more. Just seems odd to create a specific model for the Axe, add it to the game files and then just do nothing with it. Adding on to this thought, they now have a track history of holding assets for a prolonged period (Datamined P2 > discovered P8) so I for one am holding out a bit of hope for more to come.
aggrend plays Ret, not shaman, so its not happening
The Axe needs to be implimented
Warrior, Shaman legendary at the very least.
I like it conceptually but the datamined model didn’t even look to be made of wood when that was the whole point of the axe. If it were changed to look like how it does in lore than we’d be cooking.
On another note the Axe of Cenarius should have been the arms warrior artifact in Legion.
Broxigar’s Axe would indeed be very, very cool. Would presumably be a Warrior, Hunter, Shaman weapon? Though might be cool if there were a variant that Druids could wield as well.
