My main is a Arms warrior that uses a pick-axe so this made me lol a bit.
::Stares in Blademaster.::
That only proves my point, lol. Blademasters use swords. And they are all about mastery of the blade, not wreckless fury, like Grommash or Garrosh with Gorehowl.
Brox. He could have taken on his brother, Garrosh, Varian, and John J. Keeshan all at once wielding the Axe of Cenarius in one hand while scratching his nuts with the other.
âŠthatâs probably an exaggeration but you all get the idea.
I will never understand why Sumaro was not a character in the Horde roster anywhere in WoW, yet got in on HoTS.
Makes no sense.
You mean it makes no sensei amirite?
Broxigar was the Orc Sue to end all Orc Sues, and only slain by the Dark Titan himself.
Broxigar wins because heâs a Knaak character.
Who was that one shot character who wielded one of the artifacts? Toranaar? I think they did a much better job of showing someone standing up against Sargeras with him. He wasnât some super OP character just a guy with the guts to refuse to kneel who challenged Sargeras to a duel and managed to injure him enough to anger him into personally destroying their world.
I hope we see the Aldrachi in Bastion or Maldraxxus.
Varian was fighting, continously, long before we even reached him for the event. He also one shotted a fel reaver. Lastly, the Legion has constantly been strengthening itself for 10,000 after Brox original took them on. That is 10,000 for them to refine their weapons, tactics and magic and generally just become stronger.
many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many years longer. Even 20 years on Azeroth are equal to 1000 years inside the Nether.
10.000 years are kind of Million years for the legion.
But i think brox would win too, varian is a strong warrior, but brox was a real beast, its kind of his legend, so let it be his story and let him rest in peace. And maybe blizz, make her daugther in some kind of an interesting Character who try to claims the legacy of her father.
Personally I would rather ignore/keep the total incositency of how time works in the Netheras a foot note(lets be honest, Blizzard made it a 1000 years war for Alleria/Turaylon just so they could up the proverbial ante of story tension).
yeaaaah, i see, but weÂŽre here in the lore-Forum, not in the âi wish placeâ so i write here what is lore and not what i want
The fact that the axe of cenarius was sl powerful it went through everything made so brox could attack without being blocked.
The scene Varian dies shows exactly a different situation, how he had to open up his enemies that still could block him.
Though, Broxâs endurance is probably far superior as well.
Also, in general people talking about Varian being more of an arms Warrior⊠Varian is a fury warrior through and through.
The Legion cinematic had varian holding out for about 30 seconds against the legion while Brox held out endlessly and made a mountain of corpses. If they were fighting the same demons then seems like Brox would have the upper hand.
I have minor gripes. In no particular order.
Weightless is better than the weight of any weapon, yeah. No doubt. But weight barely plays any role in WoW. A normal 2H sword is going to range around 7lbs tops for a heavy one. 7lbs would even be kinda hefty for a cavalry polehammer. We donât really know the metal, if the enchantments have any effect on the weight or balance, it could be half a pound for all we know, really. I donât think itâs ever been explained how much it weighs.
To take that a step further, it also felt natural to Brox. It was made specifically for him, and it felt more like a part of his arm.
All weapons require a lot of practice to master. I feel like this is a bit of an unfair argument, because it sounds like youâre saying that an axe wouldnât require finesse. Spears, hammers, swords, glaives (like, cutty weapons on poles, not the weird double/triple swords), and staves. While I feel as if youâre right, my view is just⊠a sword is a more versatile weapon.
Sometimes. Just as often they use pole-swords (because I refuse to call that a glaive) and theyâve been known to use axes.
I was certain it did far more than that. Something about the enchantment being tied to his strength, endurance, or willâŠ? It was imbued with, at least, a part of Azerothâs power.
Does it really matter? 10000 years or million years my point still stood. . Again, the timeywimy nature of the Nether is better relegated to obscure barely useful lore because we actually dont know how it functions.
This Legion that we all fought is a more powerful beast that whatever Brox fought.
Think of this way. Varian, on his own took down a Garothi Worldbreaker. Something that took an army of heroes wielding legendary weapons to take down.
I mean Broxigar is canonically one of two mortals who managed to injure Sargeras.
Which is ludicrously impressive now that weâve seen Space Satanâs actual size. Thatâd be like a shrew managing to hurt a brontosaurus. Varianâs impressive to be sure but of the two warriors who sacrificed themselves by diving at the Legion - Broxigarâs last stand was demonstrably the more effectife one.
Until you realize Brox needed the 5 dragon aspects, Rhonin, Malfurion and Illidan focusing their magic on Brox so he could actually hit him.
Varianâs sacrifce meant the Alliance hero managed to live. Without said hero the Legion might have won and would still have meant Azeroth would have been destroyed.
Still - managed to injure Space Satan. Maybe he used some preformance enhancement stuff but thatâs still one for the books no matter how you spin it.
The Real Question is, if Varian was in Broxigarâs position, with the Axe and his backup, would Varian be able to match (or exceed) Broxigarâs accomplishments.
