So I’m going to be swapping my look from time to time to rep the different flights whenever the mood takes me
I have a mog and a visage set up for each but I’m falling a bit short when it comes to the mounts, particularly for Bronze
I have the Bronze Drake but don’t really care for it, I think the heads on the WotLK era drakes look a bit poxy
What mounts are you all using to rep your flight? Any suggestions for Bronze?

I pretend it’s my actual form and this is my visage. Screw the elf form.
This is what our flight form should be. We should be able to unlock Azure, Crimson, Black, Bronze, and Emerald flying mount forms (not necessarily to carry people). If we can shapeshift from a Dracthyr to a Belf, then we can turn in to an actual dragon too right?
This would be so much more satisfying, and could already be planned for the ‘normal flying’ when added.
You know you can customize your own dragon in dragonflight, right? That’s what your going to be riding. None of the other flying mounts work in the dragon isles, at least not for flying.
Google wowhead dragonflight dragon customization, they have a tool for it and everything. Bronze is a color available for all 4 models.
Oh ok, no I didn’t know that! I knew about the mounts but always saw them in the same colors so didn’t know they were customizable to that degree

Is the color something that can just be changed when we feel like it? Or is it a one and done selection thing?

It’s a whole thing, you have to unlock the different colors and features, such as scales, hair, spikes, on each part of the body, including the neck, head, back, etc…
It will for sure take a while to unlock everything, especially as each unlock is for 1 thing for 1 of the 4 dragons. There’s also a few full model replacements that you get from certain achievements / content (such as end raid boss etc…). And they look pretty cool too but are not customizable.
Eventually I presume normal flying will be unlocked in the Dragon Isles, because so many people have complained that they don’t like Dragon Riding and that to them they can’t experience the game properly because they supposedly won’t use it (lol…).
But I doubt it’ll come any time soon.

I don’t know if the color customization are locked behind other systems (ie rep grinds) or if they’re all available by default.
But yes, you can change them much in the way you can change your own customization options for your dracthyr in the barbershop. There is actually a lot of overlap, you could make a dragon that looks extremely similar to your dracthyr.
A lot of them come from paragon/reputation rewards, some come from chests or certain quests. If i remember correctly anyway.
I only managed to unlock maybe 20% of them during beta, at most. I don’t think I managed to unlock any of the colors though.
