Bronze dragons outside caverns of time

I’m trying and failing to remember. Was there any benefit (or reputation loss) to killing those dragons during vanilla?

One of them is required to kill as part of the Horde Onyxia attunement chain. Killing him as Alliance would probably do nothing.

Killing them? No. But I believe they’re part of the quest chain to open the AQ gates. You have to get a certain amount of rep with them.

I seem to recall that killing them caused you to lose reputation with Brood of Nozdormu, and that this set back a few of my guild members during AQ. But I could be wrong.

The big Skull one gives you the rings from the AQ rep brood of whatever. Some are there for show and i think one is for Test of Skull’s as the hordes ony Attu

But you can fight them if you set to “at war” with Brood of Nozdormu in your reputation tab.

Yes, you need to get your reputation high with the Brood of Nozdormu for AQ40, to get your ring. So don’t kill them or you lose Brood of Nozdormu rep.

Does anyone know how strong that “Boss level” Bronze dragon actually is?

Is he on the same level as the other 5 world boss dragons or is he just “boss level” for decoration? I don’t think he drops any loot by design.

Anachronos: Some “vanilla” wiki’s are reporting around 250k hp. No loot, of course.

From a Vanilla era comment : DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RAID him, he will despawn at 20% Health and say “It’s Not My Time Mortals” or something, I am sure he is part of AQ War-Effort thing.

Seems like he may be possible to kite to orgrimmar for lulz, tho.

Strong enough to kill level 70s with a few hits when I misirect people on my hunter.
But no I think the world bosses may be stronger then him, if they kill you you can be perma stunned when ressing next to them.

2 of them are used for ony/AQ quests.
