Nothing has been changed or taken away from you. Keep doing every single activity youāre doing until the event end.

Blizzard apparently didnāt see it coming because they didnāt implement it from the start. Despite people who knew it Should be changed telling them.
Their jobs are to make a fun and enjoyable game. Waiting for the players to tell them that what they did wasnāt fun and enjoyable after 20 years of making the game (during their 20 year celebration event!) is like a husband/wife asking their partner what their middle name is 20 years into their relationship.
Not sure why people are being so thankful to Blizz about this change that any reasonable person could look at and immediately see that the currency earn rate to rewards available wasnāt going to be fun or enjoyable.

Iād made my peace with the idea my playstyle just didnāt mesh well with what the event was offering. So this is a pleasant surprise.

Thank god. It was really just un appealing to sit there thinking either I would have to do every single piece of content no matter how unfun or end up not getting celebration stuff.

I think the original idea was to keep the players active for two months but after they got actual data back and how players behave, they realized that the average token income was likely lower than expected.
Game design isnāt always easy. I saw the very same issue with a friend of mine, who is GM in a RP-group. She planned a creative boss fight but nobody really used logic and brute-forced their way through the battle. Obviously, she had to change things on the fly. You cannot predict how players will play or what they like or not to a certain degree.

I meanā¦ this is nice, but itās starting to feel like āhereās something terrible, oops we made a mistake, let us fix it ā¦ 1-3 weeks laterā is part of the inherent design.
Said another way: itās a very thinly veiled version of time-gating.

Just like itās been swell being a C-class Arms Warrior take a nerf because FURY was overperforming in 25% of content (wut??). They then realize Arms is a D-class spec and buff it back to C-class.
Why didnāt you just LEAVE IT ALONE IN THE FIRST PLACE if the intent was to nerf Fury?? Oh and by the way, we still need a buff on top of this buff. The current buff isnāt even a buff, but just puts as back where we were before the nerf. Which was: C-class.
This is REMARKABLY FRUSTRATING and displays a striking level of incompetence. Unless, as I said, itās really just a Time Gate.

Blizzard can you please make an effort to design things right the first time? This season has been the absolute worst showing from your gameplay design team ever. From the poor state of class balance, M+ difficulty scaling and rewards, delvesā¦it has been embarrassingly bad.
The fact someone in your design team sat down and thought it was reasonable for a cosmetic tier set unlock to be impossible in the first week is beyond belief. Especially after it was advertised so hard.
Very poor showing. Very disappointing.
