Our goal has been that players should and can get all the tokens they need during the event by playing content they enjoy.

The words I want to hear Blizzard.

What the hell happened to more tokens?

They broke more things with their fix by the look of it. Par for the course since their QA is nonexistent.

I spent ten hours playing yesterday, doing stuff I would normally skip, to get all of the weeklies done so I wouldn’t miss a week and fall behiind in tokens… when I should have been working and doing irl things. (I wasn’t able to do it earlier in the week due to work travel.) Even got the secret crates.

Now they buff it, and the change to crates isn’t retroactive.

Why can’t you guys just get it right the first time? Over and over and over the same thing happens.

I guess the joke’s on me for not anticipating this. I was so hyped before this event started but it’s been such a let down.

So you ignore feedback on the PTR, then a week or so later, change it and will claim you are listening to the players. Just listen to feedback on the PTR next time.

I just don’t understand this sentiment people have that they “wasted their time” doing last week’s weeklies because they were buffed for this week…

Because those crates aren’t weeklies. They are a one-time token bonus per crate. I’m fairly annoyed by this myself. If I had waited, I’d have 6 more tokens today.

Token Collector Achievement Explained

Many of you will get this achievement today Token Collector. Im just helping folks clear up how tyhis works. as Blizz was not very clear. Once you get the achievement It unlocks 2 tokens from completing a Random Timewalking Dungeon, and 2 tokens from completing the Codex of Chromie Scenario and these are repeatable/spammable. Additionally the bosses in Blackrock Depths raid are dropping tokens including the mini-bosses. Side Note: T2 sets get cheaper as you buy them 1 reduces them to 40 an…

They intentionally under-deliver to build angst and anticipation. They then provide fixes that aim to build trust by nullifying the valid concerns of their customers. It’s a manipulation technique that generates revenue.

Everyone here praising it, and here I am thinking this was a mistake.

The pacing was fine, I did all my Weeklies in one character and the Detective quest, and I got 40 tokens.

With the idea of tokens gain only increasing in time, doing this was vastly unnecessary.

Its a given for those who want instant gratification, but we all know people will grind everything out of the list, buy all the rewards, and never step in the anniversary area, when it is meant to be around until January.

…And we all know, people will be done in two weeks, then go complain and brood about chores and useless currency, while people who start the event late will have the opportunity to hang out with 0 people around, making the event a ghost town.

It is not a bad thing to just chill in the game and do nothing, you know? You dont need to be always chasing the next carrot on the stick.

Oh well. Certain things never change in WoW.

After you unlock repeatable bronze with 100 tokens, LFR bosses don’t repeatedly drop bronze as I think the original blog post talking about repeatable bronze suggested vaguely.

There’s one non-boss NPC in the last wing that drops bronze that gives you 1 bronze token for repeating the wing. That seems kind of lame and pointless though.

You get two for queuing for chromie and 2 for queuing for a timewalking dungeon (that is shown in the interface). You get zero for queuing for LFR and 1 (maybe per wing) from a random NPC you have to loot and nothing from the bosses (that drop 3-per boss but still limited to weekly only seemingly as you can’t loot them again).

edit: I guess the boss tokens are currently repeatable on alts so you can alt farm tokens from LFR currently which is probably much faster than timewalking dungeons.

Far more, if my numbers are correct if you do everything you can get 4 sets this week. If you don’t probably 2-3.

Since we’ll easily get all the sets now maybe they should add a bronze conversion to the vendor as well like 1 bronze for 5 timewalking badges or something.

Why is the buff to Bronze Celebration Tokens from Secret Crates not retroactive?

Need to be able to get bronze from sources on alts (e.g. Ansurek kills). Not just once per warband.
