Broken, or Intended? Not Getting Residual Memories

I recall that you get 25 Residual Memories from killing the slime boss at the start of the event, and supposedly supposed to get an additional 500 for killing the large boss at the end of the event; however, I have killed both Ragnaros and Onyxia during the event, even tagging the slime at the beginning ( getting the 25 Memories), and actively helping progress to spawn the big boss at the end, but I did not get the 500 Residual Memories from either of the two bosses.

Is this broken, or entirely intended?

If it’s broken, will we get a those Memories at all?

If it’s intended, where did they say that was intended?

I am getting 5-6 per event. It is only for the ring so it is fine.

Happened to me too yesterday and I have no idea why still. Bosses were tagged for sure due to debuffs and quest completion, so 2 of my 5 kills, ony and rag too, gave nothing. But don’t worry, 2 of my kills that did reward loot gave me a necklace and trinket, so worthless for collection farming.

There are so many things wrong with this event, it can’t even be considered a mistake or incompetence anymore. It’s intentional.

I am sure they have an AI sending responses to tickets complaining about this very same issue saying, “This is entirely intentional,” or “Just look it up on WoWHead.”

I think what’s even worse about this whole event is how little it’s actually worth. The prices of the weapons and armor are outlandishly expensive, requiring you to hop between alts to do the weekly quest, stay AFK waiting for the event to begin every 90 minutes, then maybe getting the 500+ Residual Memories you need to buy the gear, and then hoping that you get an item drop from the boss instead.

I did the math and it turns out that if you want to buy just the transmog set (not a full set of gear for a character) you’d need to be online for 24 hours straight non-stop to get enough to buy the full set.

At least the will reduce the event timer by 30 minutes next week, and additional 30 minutes the following week to reduce that 24 hours to maybe 12 hours.
