Broken mob leashes?

So has anyone noticed some of the mobs in Hellfire Peninsula seem to have INSANELY long agro/leashes? I’m regularly getting regular trash mobs that will follow me practically half way across the map (not literally, but extremely far). IDK if it’s the same in other zones, as this is where I’m at now.

Are some of the mob leashes bugged right now, or do some trash mobs just have insanely long leashes?

In TBC they increased it and made the AI more deadly…. Tell them thank you for the added enjoyment

Ah ok. It’s obviously been ages since I played TBC back in the day. I just didn’t remember some trash mobs having insane leashes like this. lol

Definitely noticed this, especially the orc necromancers who summon all those skeletons. They come across the zone at you LOL.

A couple of nights ago, my friend aggro’ed one of those two headed green flying creatures in Blade’s Edge close to the horde base. It followed us down the ramp into the Ogre lands, down the road to the other end where I think it’s the Bloodmaul ogres where we were trying to get to. We had to kill the damn thing.

Others just like it gave up at normal rates. Some have followed us longer. But none were as determined as that one. I should have gotten rid of my pet and tried to tame it (was on my hunter). That creature had moxie.

Yeah it’s not all or even most trash mobs…but some seem to have ludicrous leashes. lol

Definitely have noticed this!

On the other hand, when I’m trying to group up spiders to farm silk, some of their leashes are ridiculously short.

Can’t win

It’s design to build synergy with the Fel Reaver. Running away now comes with the question “toward what?”
