Personally I would love to see a return to bit more of the WoD / Pandaria style Brewmaster monk. By far a lot more fun and intersting compared to todays iteration.
I would love to see Diffuse Magic return, though probably will be an option with the new Talent tree i hope, and I hope its not too expensive of a choice.
I would also like more self sustain. Outside of warrior really Monks have very little self sustain for a class about inner peace and tranquility you strugging without a healer has always been a huge weakness.
WoD style stagger felt better. Really I would love to see Guard return similar to WoD. 2 Charges 30sec CD. 50% physical dmg reduction. It would lead to some interesting gameplay and challenges.
Desperate measures was nice it allowed Expel Harm to be insta Cast under 35% this would really be a boon to help self sustain.
Chi Explosion was a great talent as well. Obviously would need to add Chi back as resource but honestly think that could be a good component.
Dizzying Haze would be great as well as AoE Taunt. Remove the slow aspect of it just make it a spammable taunt. Lets be honest. Tanks hate how threat works these days and if you want more tanks something like this would be a great help.
Iâm not some crazy BrM to begin with, as I started as BrM just this season lmao, but I generally think Monks are pretty good in proper set up with everyone alive.
Because unlike Paladins, we canât carry the group if healer dies.
Because unlike Druids & DKâs, we simply do not that kind of self healing potential.
My only real feedback would be to maintain x2 Kegsmash, as without I canât even fathom how are we supposed to keep our Brews off cooldown, and crank up some damage.
BrMs are lower in overalls than Warriors. Iâve seen plenty of prot warriors in keys with overall 14+, meanwhile the highest BrM Iâve seen is sub 11-12k at most in dungeons like DoS & SD.
The only real way to stay on par with other tanks on damage is to have Cache trinket.
This is my one ask, and Iâll assume it will be at the end of 3-5 talent points. And I will take it. We lost Keg Toss, then we lost Chi Explosion and more importantly Guard. Then we got a 2nd keg smash, and then they took it away, then gave it back, and will take it away again probably. Stahp, blizz.
See I donât mind losing 2x keg smash as long as we get something in return. Whether itâs Guard, Chi Explo, fk even Serenity would be interesting. Just anything.
Its all about numbers they could do 1 keg smash if they lowered the CD to 3-4 seconds. Only reason they made it so long is they made the legendary bring 2 charges.
I know chi explosions would require chi but that would not be hard to implement. It was already in the game before for BrM and WW has chi as a resource still.
Brewmaster was never bad before w/o double Keg Smash. Just had utility in place of damage. Itâs not entirely complex to remove oen thing and give them back another thing.
Its looking good so far for what theyâre adding newish back to BrM. As long as they stick with the formula with other classes, we should have a really nice and well-rounded tank. Especially for pvp!
Just like Lizzo says, itâs about dân time that brewmaster gets to shine in pvp again! Just like blood dk and to an extent prot warriors, weâve been in the shadows for FAR too long in pvp. Let us all drink brews and be merry!
And thereâs a way to have tanks in pvp and not be toxic. It just takes the developers willing to put in the effort and time needed to make them that way. Give them a defensive aura that allows their partners and not themselves to take less damage.
Make tanks about GROUP utility and mitigation. And make them less about damage and to an extent support healing. Some specs could be seen to offer a bit more support heals. But there needs to be a trade off.
Yeah but you do understand PVP is like what 2% of the game least in the tank world. Them removing something or not being able to develop it and simply make it bad in PvE because of PVP is bad game design. I know they have had flags before where spell do reduced x in pvp or have reduced effectiveness
