Brining back old name plates yet?

Based on the reception of classic beta, have you thought about bringing back the old style name plates, since most people hate the way the new plates look?

Be great if you did.

What’s the url to go vote on this? I never got to vote on whether I like them or not, I don’t want the results of ‘most’ to be skewed or anything.

I swear you can’t post anything now days without someone having a snarky comment that doesn’t contribute in anyway.

If you like the new plates (which you don’t even state which you prefer, you just want to be a troll), then you are in the minority.

I wish there was a poll, I really do, that way I could post the results to you and call you a moron, or a troll, whichever is more applicable.

You speak for yourself not “most people”.

I haven’t played with stock ui or name plates in over a decade…what’s the difference if you don’t mind me asking?

The stock ui is hideous.

Where do you get this “most” stuff from? Looks to me like you’re the troll here.

I don’t know about the “most” thing, but I do not like them. I would love for the old ones to come back, if not I will keep using an addon.

Man, people want to be idiots and make this about “Where do you get this ‘most’ from… you don’t speak for me”, when if you paid attention AT ALL to these forums and YouTube videos and streamer chats, you would see that MOST people, do not like the freaking UI in live.
There are even 2 people in this thread that admit they do not like it.

Lets stop worrying about the perceived slight by me using the word ‘most’.
Blizzard knows it’s ‘most’, whether you want to play keyboard warrior or not.

Someone is super salty this afternoon lol. Why throw around insults when you’re the one coming to the forum with some made up “most” stuff?

There was a large vocal outcry against the change to default nameplates.

There was not a large vocal praise of the new nameplates.

Was it “most” of the playerbase? who knows.

I never noticed there was a difference tbh, infact I’m pretty sure I had them disabled during vanilla.

Well, if you don’t preface your posts with “most people” you’ll avoid those snarky comments.

Personally I don’t even know what the difference between them is and am not quite sure I want you speaking for me, just saying.

I will never understand why they didn’t leave the option to use them, let alone why they downgraded name plates in the first place. Old ones were so much better.

this.

OP, if you don’t like something about the ui enough that you are compelled to come to the forums to complain about it - you have the power right this very second to change the way it looks.

that’s the great thing about blizz’s (awful) default ui… we can customize it.

Bro, it’s called “speaking colloquially”, or informally.

We’re just discussing things in a video game forum, not attending AP Rhetoric, so unless the claim is wildly outlandish, e.g. “most people love Anduin for his steely resolve and decisive leadership”, it’s not worth the time or effort to be the Pedantry Police.

It’s writing 101 to never take your premise as a given. Or even assume that anyone knows what you’re talking about. This is less pedantry than it is courtesy.

Fabricating majority support isn’t pedantic; it’s a material lie. And it discredits both the argument and the person making the argument, which is why the OP is getting treated poorly here.

Stick with “I dislike the current nameplates,” and OP would have been fine. Too many people try to bolster their opinions by claiming an unverifiable majority.

At least it’s a marginally more creative way to trash post [citation needed] if anyone dares to generalize.
