Based on the reception of classic beta, have you thought about bringing back the old style name plates, since most people hate the way the new plates look?
Be great if you did.

Whatâs the url to go vote on this? I never got to vote on whether I like them or not, I donât want the results of âmostâ to be skewed or anything.
I swear you canât post anything now days without someone having a snarky comment that doesnât contribute in anyway.
If you like the new plates (which you donât even state which you prefer, you just want to be a troll), then you are in the minority.
I wish there was a poll, I really do, that way I could post the results to you and call you a moron, or a troll, whichever is more applicable.
You speak for yourself not âmost peopleâ.
I havenât played with stock ui or name plates in over a decadeâŚwhatâs the difference if you donât mind me asking?
The stock ui is hideous.
Where do you get this âmostâ stuff from? Looks to me like youâre the troll here.
I donât know about the âmostâ thing, but I do not like them. I would love for the old ones to come back, if not I will keep using an addon.
Man, people want to be idiots and make this about âWhere do you get this âmostâ from⌠you donât speak for meâ, when if you paid attention AT ALL to these forums and YouTube videos and streamer chats, you would see that MOST people, do not like the freaking UI in live.
There are even 2 people in this thread that admit they do not like it.
Lets stop worrying about the perceived slight by me using the word âmostâ.
Blizzard knows itâs âmostâ, whether you want to play keyboard warrior or not.
Someone is super salty this afternoon lol. Why throw around insults when youâre the one coming to the forum with some made up âmostâ stuff?
There was a large vocal outcry against the change to default nameplates.
There was not a large vocal praise of the new nameplates.
Was it âmostâ of the playerbase? who knows.
I never noticed there was a difference tbh, infact Iâm pretty sure I had them disabled during vanilla.
Well, if you donât preface your posts with âmost peopleâ youâll avoid those snarky comments.
Personally I donât even know what the difference between them is and am not quite sure I want you speaking for me, just saying.
I will never understand why they didnât leave the option to use them, let alone why they downgraded name plates in the first place. Old ones were so much better.
this.
OP, if you donât like something about the ui enough that you are compelled to come to the forums to complain about it - you have the power right this very second to change the way it looks.
thatâs the great thing about blizzâs (awful) default ui⌠we can customize it.
Bro, itâs called âspeaking colloquiallyâ, or informally.
Weâre just discussing things in a video game forum, not attending AP Rhetoric, so unless the claim is wildly outlandish, e.g. âmost people love Anduin for his steely resolve and decisive leadershipâ, itâs not worth the time or effort to be the Pedantry Police.
Itâs writing 101 to never take your premise as a given. Or even assume that anyone knows what youâre talking about. This is less pedantry than it is courtesy.
Fabricating majority support isnât pedantic; itâs a material lie. And it discredits both the argument and the person making the argument, which is why the OP is getting treated poorly here.
Stick with âI dislike the current nameplates,â and OP would have been fine. Too many people try to bolster their opinions by claiming an unverifiable majority.
âitâs not worth the time or effort to be the Pedantry Police.â
At least itâs a marginally more creative way to trash post [citation needed] if anyone dares to generalize.
