Bringing up Artisan's Acuity for Double Gathering, Once Again

Well lets not pretend like there are not entirely dead trees in the gathering skill trees. Seams specialization? Carve meat? Green thumb and Mulch? SO thats over 100 KP you don’t need or even want to spend in the gathering trees.
There is no reason to buy the 400 point book for 15 KP, you don’t need it it doesnt give you anything. The crafters only get 10 KP instead of the 15 that gathering gets. Means you can buy the 200aa book and refund 75 of it by clicking it. Then you only need 4 blue tools. All of this you can have right now. Only a absolute buffoon would argue that a gather needs to spend 300 AA on a bag that gives them 1% faster overload when overload is absolutely useless, it just slows you down and makes you gather less, why on earth would you want to do that MORE OFTEN? Give me a bag that makes it cooldown slower.

Profession Shuffling should not be the way to attain a meaningful amount of Acuity. It’s cringe.

This profession-crippling is still not fixed. I have to conclude that either:
a) Blizz hates gathering professions more than crafting ones; or
b) Blizz hates all professions equally, but is inept.

Exp is 16 weeks old, enough for my 2 double gatherers to have all their main professions good tools, 2 profs bags and even 1 or 2 recrafts. I’ll be going after the books now. No idea what your grievance is about. And there was no shuffling in that gathering either.

Getting a higher reward for crafting orders weekly of acuity would help this vastly!

Why not bring back the weekly quest from Dragonflight too, while they’re at it. 100 acuity every week was extremely helpful. Why did that not get rolled over into TWW?!!?

Most likely because after getting all their tools and buying all the books in DF, double gatherers were left with not a thing to do with the mettle that they kept accumulating beside the occasional recrafts. TWW is different, the consortium sells bags of mats/recipes for AA. Bringing back the weekly equivalent of mettle would just mean gatherers could just sit on their behind in Dorn instead of going out and actually do what they are supposed to do: gather.

It’s still too prohibitive as it is now. And there are now better uses for acuity than in DF.

You get all your tools and the books, afterwards what else is there to do with AA beside buying the bags for gatherers? Crafters still have recipes to buy before being in the same situation. The occasional recraft and buying the bags of mats, that is all there is as far as I know. A weekly sack of AAs like in DF would pretty much flood the market with mats and drive the prices down even faster than the usual spiral.

AA is a requirement of all the high end items that so many people ask to recraft in trade chat. Every single day… tons of messages are happening for recrafts.

A recraft is 20 AA! How many recrafts do you need per week?? The demand for tools has already slowed down and there are already crafters that can R5 tools easily, so no recrafts needed. Its more of a slow trickle at the moment for recrafts. It will pick up at the new season with another spark and set of crests, but very soon everyone will have their sets of tools. Everyone will be using most of there AAs to buy the bags soon. As much as my crafters would enjoy lower costs for mats, I am very sure that gatherers wish to have that spiral be as slow as possible.

Gathering professions notoriously drop off in profitability as an xpac progresses.

I wouldn’t begrudge them being able to turn excess AA after all their crafts into a minor profit to offset that curve (by buying those vendor bags of mats for AA). Idk if that’s even remotely balanced to be income-impactful, but it’d pair up nicely.

The bags are a welcome change to the mettle problem we had in DF for double gatherers yes. Their acquisition being moderated by AA accumulation is also a good thing to prevent market flooding.
