Has anyone had an issue where you’re prowling around and you trip over a rogue in stealth, cast moonfire on them, but it doesn’t take effect, and just brings you out of stealth instead?
This has happened a couple different times now… wondering if it’s a thing that’s been going on. Very annoying…
Are you sure they’re not re-stealthing quickly? There’s a rogue conduit that grants a small absorb shield which allows rogues to re-stealth for a bit even with dots on them.

This is a known bug. It happens with Rake especially, where rake “activates” but doesn’t hit the rogue and brings you out of stealth but not them. Will lose you arena games. Thus far it hasn’t been addressed.

Typhoon works well for breaking rogues out of stealth; It will un-stealth you of course, but then you could throw a Moonfire on them and either run away or attack. Like mentioned they can just re-stealth so usually this approach is used when they are dying and you want to finish them off.
As for Rake not triggering properly from stealth, I wonder if this is client-side x/y position not updated, similar to trying to enter travel form when leaving a building. The fix for instantly updating your x/y position is to jump, and then you can switch to travel as soon as you land.
Perhaps try to jump before Rake from stealth; This is speculation, but may help.
Yeah had this happen several times, it’s highly annoying.
Moonfire just doesn’t affect them. But I noticed they sap me right after, which means combat never occurred.
Yeah… I’ve had this happen on a couple different toons now. My druid and my demon hunter; using spectral sight then throw glaive, where it will end spectral sight, but the rogue will be unaffected… lame.
That conduit is infuriating.
But I know what he’s talking about. Usually happens with rake. You see the rogue, go to stun him but he gets out of range or you lose vision and it pops you out of stealth instead. Then you get sapped and you lose the game.
