You can still buy Thistle Tea! It was first for sale by a vendor in our class hall from Legion. But, now there’s vendors in Stormwind and Orgrimmar.
If you don’t have access to the hall, in Stormwind he’s in Old Town. In the building south of the dummies where the stable is in the basement. Just “/tar Gerald Black” and you should be able to find him.
Every spec has energy return mechanics, usually multiple. It’s not meant to be an infinite resource- you have to manage it.
And the Whistle Tea isnt even that good if were being honest.
At best it might help if you REALLY mess up and youre out of energy when you need it, but overall barely worth it.
Agreed. It was really only useful back in the day when energy regeneration was on a 2 second interval. Might still be that way on classic.
I dont want it unless its on its own cooldown. If it shares a cd with anything else, its just not worth it.

Sometimes I have energy floods on outlaw and can’t smash out enough moves to wipe out my bar, always feels like I’m pressing something

Tea is still here, it shares a CD with combat potions, not even slightly worth.
It would have to be on its own cd to even approach usefulness.
In Classic Thistle Tea is GODLY even in raid, 100 more energy is no joke.
In retail things are so flubbed but it would be really nice! IMO tea should have always been some kinda talent Post CATA / MoP.
You want to bake sipping tea mid-combat to somehow refresh an absurd (read: typically overcapping) amount of energy that will nonetheless necessarily be worth less to some specs than others as a part of class/spec identity, rather than an auxiliary potion-alternative for while doing casual content?
If your spec energy generation mechanic is so insufficient, why not just address that directly?

They nerfed the dickens out of it in many expansions but yea its back, but the point I was making is that energy is not as valuable as it was before active regeneration.
They should bake it in to crimson vial, or make a talent that does. would be nice.
It’s still good for getting kills on low hp targets if you accidentally cap yourself out to 0 after a burst and you know your next shadowstrike or evis will kill them. Definitely worth to have slotted atleast, and it’s basically free.
