I want an ability that lets me drink booze. Maybe something as simple as a damage buff or reduction, but it should definitely apply the drunk effect to the screen. The vessel you chug your grog from should also be race-specific.
I disagree and agree at the same time.
On one hand, I want Outlaw to be neutral-themed so I can choose if my character is a pirate, an RDR2 cowboy or a gangster.
On the other hand, I like pirates.
Solution: Make Rogues even neutraler by default, but add Pirate, Cowboy and Gangster Glyphs to them.
The entire Rogue Class has half the amount of Glyphs a Frost Mage’s Walter Elemental pet has anyway.
Just get drunk before going into a fight, that’s always good fun
Oh, and I want to be able to summon a parrot. It can be a temporary pet so as to not conflict with hunters, but while unusable, I want it to perch on my shoulder.
Ill rather they do the opposite, they forced the pirate theme too hard
I’m still of the mind that Outlaw was a mistake…
Combat was nothing. It had no theme. How is nothing better than what we have now?
In my mind, it was perfect, and did have a theme. I won’t begrudge you your pirate, don’t begrudge me my Combat Rogue. ~.^
The fact that it had no defined theme to begin with at best something like a duelist, you could change it yourself, now its literally pirate or pirate
AND IT SUCKS
I don’t know why everyone considers it a pirate spec. I’ve always considered it more a 3 Musketeers era highwayman spec, myself.
It was totally stupid that in Legion they suddenly decided that combat rogues would become a 6 year old’s idea of the glamorous life of a cartoon pirate.
My combat rogues were spies doing reconnaisance, not drunks doing dumb stuff like getting into pointless brawls.
If you can’t figure out what your character is without being spoonfed, that’s your problem.
The dices (specially the dices) the gun, the slash sounds (Which are annoying af btw)
I loved using claw weapons and acted like a beast but the dices and gun destroyed that
Doesn’t answer the question. Those sound more gambler/highwayman than pirate to me.
Edit: here’s what the WoW page on outlaw rogues says:
“ A ruthless fugitive who uses agility and guile to stand toe-to-toe with enemies.”
That doesn’t sound piratical at all to me.
Lets not forget the icons and names of the dice buffs…
Btw you arent really convincing when you are literally dressed has a pirate
Point is, people loved Combat for what it was, but Outlaw got rid of it almost entirely by forcing the pirate theme which was even worse in Legion
Even the devs said that Outlaw was a pirate
Is there a source for that?
Edit: I found this from the pre-Legion class reviews:
Says nothing about pirate.
Same one as the 1st boss in Free Hold. And if the cast gets kicks you say something along the same lines about “bad luck to spill a man’s grog” and it triggers another effect. Making the other guy/gal have to decide which one they want to face.
The game itself?
You can clearly see they consider Outlaw pirates
Most of the Outlaw NPC are dressed has pirates, the Artifact is clearly pirate theme, the abilities make references to pirates, etc.
Can we stop pretending inscription doesnt exist?
Change your vial to rum, your mateys cheer when you get a 5 buff, your gun is a parrot, etc.
