Does this actually happen a lot? My record the past week is SSM twice. Even the epics seem to have a 50/50 chance overall, but have gotten ioc or av twice in a row.

That is unlucky, but not sure bringing in blacklisting is the best option still. Another negative to blacklisting is if you donât BL a map that many players have on your faction, you will definitely not be getting ârandomâ battlegrounds. Take AV/IoC for example, remember when Horde mostly blacklisted that? Yea if you didnât, youâd be thrown into those until you also blacklisted it even if it wasnât your first choice.
Iâm not sold itâll affect queues that much if at all. I will say I do see people quit some maps they dislike the second they load in though, and nobody likes joining an in-progress game (especially not one where your team started undermanned). They canât force people to play all the maps.
Blacklisting was broken though as eventually you had to blacklist what others did (if it was widely blacklisted) otherwise you wouldnât see all maps.
You donât think allowing one blacklist would work out differently than when they allowed two? Seems to me like itâs a good compromise.
Considering there are 3 less BGs in the queue, I think 1 would work the same. They canât add it for epics, otherwise they are allowing just the one BG to be played over and over, and thatâs not random.
Well they canât allow it for Epics obviously. That might be why it was removed, actually. But I donât know.

In Legion we could blacklist 18% of the maps (11 maps, 2 blacklists).
My desire would result in blacklisting 11%. (9 maps, 1 blacklist)
I still think itâs a good enough compromise to allow the math to play out. I donât think itâd be as bad, and give us some freedom to break out of ruts or avoid things we find significantly less fun than others.
It could actually be worse since the two factions were pretty unanimous in what was blacklisted.
Thatâs why I think the queues would be fine. And our ability to âvote one off the islandâ was heard.
Tbh, Temple is one of my favorites so it could work in my favor since maybe Iâd finally get it more often.

Still donât think it would be good for the games overall though. And the epic BG crowd would be super pissed but obviously only 2 BGs they arenât going to add a BL in.
well itâs not our job to rationalize why bliz is ok giving us a bad game experience
blacklisting lets us avoid things we find tedious in our paid entertainment and is entirely ok for us to want it
bliz needs to solve providing a better player experience and solve their q issues

You canât really have one without the other. Having all players in the same pool for every BG map allows them to balance heals/premades better. Letâs put this into perspective for the healer standpoint: 6 healers are in queue (3 from each faction) with different map blacklists. They now need to find a map that isnât blacklisted in order to pair them all up with/against each other, and with DPS who may all have something different blacklisted.
Also, Iâm with you on mixing factions for BGs. I think it would be one of the only ways for this to work without queue times increasing.
Please bring back blacklist! I hate getting 15 deserter every time that abortion Seething Shore floats up.
I get a bgs I like. I get some I dont. Random is random.
