So, you know how there are NPCs in game to “take you back” to where “x isn’t a thing anymore”. So like the Darkshore thing and such. I feel like there should be one to have ZG be a raid again so people don’t have to save up/spend gold cap for the mounts. I particularly would like to get the swift zuli tiger, but I don’t know if Blizz has had a thought on this. Just a suggestion, might make people happy.
You know what else should be returned into our lives Titanforged Loot drops. With Titanforged Loot you too can enjoy an elevated Ilvl and be invited to ZG pugs anytime all the time

GD being GD… just another work day
I like this suggestion and think if it works it could be added nicely to all the dungeons they ruined, eh, “changed” over the years.
This is one of the many reasons why Cata will always be the worst expansion for me and will always hate it.
I really wish they would have done ZG like they did with Kara where they kept the original one and then changed the back door opening to be for the new Kara.
They really need to bring back the OG ZG raid. I don’t even care if they keep the current raptor mount instead of the original one. I just really loved ZG. Only reason why I am playing Classic BC is to hit 70 and get gear and then solo the place, but I don’t have the patience to re-level to 70 there. I tried and got to level 62 and said, “Yeah… this is boring.” (And yes I played the OG BC but leveling in it was extremely boring then and still is today imo)
More importantly, there needs to be an NPC who brings us back to a time when the fishing chair was still in the game.
The TCG/BMAH item?
There’s that, and there’s the similar/exact same item from Nat Pagle rep, and as far as I know both have been removed from the game because people were trolling with the item and using it to block entrances to places like the AH.
For me, just bring back the old overworld in general for chromie time. I would love to level in the original barrens and the original shadowfang keep and deadmines on my demon hunter.
I mean, i feel like the original naxxramas and onyxias lair i was fine with, but the problem with classic wow for me was that i was going backwards. I would rather just have some of the things that made classic wow great added to retail in some way.
I liked the revamp in cataclysm, but we had to give up so much content for the new content. And even now, it just annoys me.
You mean this?
I would love this as well! Yeah I really miss those zones in general too on how they looked.
Yes. Check the comments. The item disappeared from the vendor and if you already have the toy and try to use it, it produces a fish instead of a chair.
Edit: I just checked the most recent comments and it looks as if it is reimplemented. Checking out the vendor now. Maybe my complaining worked!
I have comments sorted with the newest ones showing up first, where the commenter says the chair is back?
I would say add the classic overworld back into the game for chromie time. Make it so that when we are selecting new toons for leveling up, the starting zones for the old areas and those characters, would also have the option of going to the old valley of trials or deathknell for leveling up. Then just have places like the original barrens or stonetalon mountains scale to your level. It could work.
I have mentioned this in previous threads, but scaling in general is just a by product of the age of the game. It lends the ability to level in any zone that we want to at any given moment on our way to the level cap. I also feel like having portals and all that, and in general the faster dungeons and level grind, at the lower lvls especially, also makes sense. Alot of people want things done fast. Like really fast. Hence why when i am going through the revamped shadowfang keep, still pretty good, although i prefer the old. It is insanely fast. Takes like 10 mins
I feel like no one in retail would want to level in a linear fashion for 500 lvls all the way to the cap. Scaling just makes more sense at that point. Pick where you want to level, and what you want to do for leveling. There are so many different ways to level now as well. Mining and herbing for some people. I know folks who only mine and herb for levels. You have pet battles. Pvp. Dungeons and questing and exploring. I am oldschool, so i always use dungeons and quests. It would be cool to see the oldschool vanilla wow 1-60 overworld added for chromie time though, so i could choose that overworld also if i wanted to.
It would also add more options for transmog collector’s and farmer’s. Some dude came up to me not to long ago, and i had the whirlwind axe transmog on my warrior. He asked me where i got it. Told him it was a warrior icon from back in the wrath of the lich king days and before. Truth be told, i don’t feel it has that elite status just because i played at the right place at the right time. A level 80, which is how i did it, was pretty trivial. I mean, the quest chains would not need to unlock class spells and abilities and stuff like that like they did back then. But i do feel like those items are becoming increasingly rare these days, and only really because they just no longer exist. I never saw any prestige to having them though. Anyone who played vanilla through wrath had those items. Or items like the gauntlets of divinity. Some of the coolest gloves in the game are gone as well.
I mean, we have gotten to that point where, even as casual as wrath of the lich king was, i don’t even feel like it defines the current term of casual anymore. Alot of folks aren’t even going to find wrath of the lich king classic fast enough. But that expansion did have a pretty infamous warcraft villain. I am willing to forgo the story. It is what it is these days.
But right now in shadowlands, the game play and class design is pretty good. Chromie time was an awesome concept. I just feel there is more they can do with it. I tread the story like a comic book series now. They are not always good. Having the old zones back for leveling as an option would be pretty awesome. I mean alot of players are going to still level their toons up manually like in the old days, but we could use more content to level through. The classic overworld was amazing to me. But i liked the revamp to. Warcraft is just amazing.
Thank you all for your input. Hopefully Blizzard sees this and maybe consider it.
I don’t see why not.
The old world, too. Pre-shattering Azeroth. Salt flats, etc.
We have the technology.
Wow you are committed xD
I feel like i am more into the pristine realm discussion of wow. I want the classic wrath of the lich king feel, but in the retail era of the game. As much as nostalgia sells, i also much like the current game. So combining some of the stuff from classic into retail makes the most sense to me as a player.
