This would solve BMs lack of burst damage. MM needs less help on the burst front, but this would go miles in helping their overall throughput.
Also, bring back the feign death defensive and the hunters mark damage reduction. We were considered a squishy class when we had these abilities and without them… its rough out there for a squirrel trying get a nut

TBH the hunter and spec trees could all use a rework around the same level that mage is getting this patch.
Overall the class just feels like it needs a little extra oomph. A little extra utility maybe like buffing tranq and/or traps?, buff turtle by reducing CD or granting strong immunity/damage reduction, put something like the bleed from MM’s vault set into the tree maybe? and rolling stuff that is almost never picked into baseline like steady focus.
I do think it’s worth looking into things like wild spirits as an option for smoothing out the damage profile for hunter cuz it’s… spotty feeling right now especially in higher M+. MM when you don’t have trueshot running is really rough on some pulls and I have basically no utility to make up for it to try and help when my DPS can’t keep up with other classes, so I’m sitting there just being underwhelming sometimes which really feels bad.
I’m not even sure what the overall tweaks for hunter should look like but I’d personally like to see a utility buff across the board, SOMETHING they bring to raid, and something to help the overall damage profile, like a wildspirits or psychic link style effect or something for beastcleave/trickshots so it’s just passive or something???
Idk, but hunter group play is just lackluster and clearly the class needs some kind of attention that isn’t just +10% to X skills.
No.
wild spirits sucks.
the last thing we need to finish the garbage sundae for BM is to tie it to a stupid 2 min CD.

Which one? Craven needs to stay gone, but the damage reduction on feign death could be cool.

Real talk my boy KNOWS REAL TALK.
I guess I made this harder to happen given that I scored a 4.25 K/D ratio in WPvP in SL S2 without those. I apologize that you felt squishy with them and worse off without them, because Markses like me dominated in 1v1 fine enough. If Blizzard took notice of my performance, they’d defer you to me.
Granted, this was Necronoobage at play, pre-Fleshcraft nerf but post-Double Tap damage nerf. A 40% HP shield per 2 min is what you would have MISSED A LOT MORE.
And what’s rough about DF by the way? You’re telling me you can’t handle Hello Kitty Island Adventure? The least of all PvP expansions?
This is a ‘be careful what you ask for’ type of thing imo.
Wild Spirits by itself was mediocre - not bad, but also not great. Without Fragments of the Elder Antlers, it was just a two minute AoE cooldown and not particularly good.
With Fragments, it was arguably the strongest covenant ability in the game. It’s highly unlikely they would give it back without watering it down a lot, in which case it probably wouldn’t be of much use.
Personally, I would rather they just fix Call of the Wild, so it’s not an abysmal failure of a cooldown talent. Aspect of the Wild is another missed opportunity. We used to complain about how Aspect of the Wild was the weakest cooldown in the game, so they responded with a “hold my beer” as they turned it into a joke.
I did notice something in the recent Ion interview. When asked about a Rogue rework, he said something about wanting someone that knows and understand Rogues to do that work, so didn’t know when to expect it. That implies they are likely waiting on the same for Hunters, which vaguely confirms many suspicions that nobody at Blizzard understands the Hunter class.
We don’t need WS back, thanks. None of the SL crap should have been rolled into class abilities…needed to stay dead together with that expansion.
