I know blizz disliked tanks soaking more damage on purpose when this was a thing, but something similar so that tanks do competitive damage would help the game. Tanks are the least played role because its punishing and boring, a recipe for low interest.
Bring in a mechanic so tanks do dps levels of dps but only if they are actively tanking. Maybe force max 1 tank in dungeons and 2-3 in raid. Have it based on number of targets agrod to you. Maybe it requires having threat on current target.
Coming from someone who sits there making a group for 20 minutes waiting on a tank can they get some love? Everyone wants to top charts, let them; this was never an issue in MoP.
as much as I want this. Imagine how broken this will get in m+. Chainpulling just so you dont drop vengence stacks. Half way through the dungeon I’ll be 1 shotting everything
I think the amount of people who want to tank in dungeons/raids is pretty much fixed. The people who don’t mind that responsibility are already doing it. Tanks doing more damage would just make it a bit more fun to tank, I suppose.
