So it’s been a few years. You mildly inconvenienced a few farmers and bots and simultaneously destroyed a thriving community with user-generated artwork enhancing the experience of thousands (if not tens of thousands) of players.
Time to revert the changes, allow for cosmetic graphical mods, and get user-generated content back. THAT will attract new players. Or at least it will attract old players back to the game.
So what if a few farmers and bots make mining nodes the size of Mt. Hyjal? 99% of the playerbase doesn’t care and the remaining 1% will participate. Let us have our fun.
Yeah, the ones that retextured old models and made them look better. Everything from the naughty to the nice to the violent. It was often high quality and almost universally an improvement.
I get it if blizz doesn’t want to update their old artwork, but at the very least they shouldn’t ban people for modding the cosmetics of the game. Want to mod to cheat? Absolutely ban it, no question. But cosmetic mods? Come on man, bring 'em back.
Really? That would explain why i saw a female Belf back in… like early BFA that has a weirdly large chest. I thought it was just some weird LOD glitch. They weren’t giant, but for sure looked bigger than normal. I even took a screenshot. Gonna see if i can find it.
