Bring Back These Removed Talents

I’ve listed below several fun abilities that have been added and removed over the years that made the class fun. Some classes got a lot of love this expansion and had many old abilities re-added. I saw only a very small handful of abilities returned to warlocks like soulburn (thank you for bringing this back). There are more talents/abilities below I’d like to remind the dev team and players of in hopes that we see some of these these return in the near future to give us more variety and choices. Removed talents I’d like to see return:

Fel armor increase healing received 20%. Helps warlock survive getting trained by double melee.

Fel fire - an instant fire based damage spell that would extend the duration of corruption or immolate by 6 seconds to cast. This was a good filler spell in situations where you have to run or can’t cast

Shadow fury used to be instant cast, please bring that back.

Kiljadens cunning - your able to cast while moving, but run at 50% movement speed while casting

Archimonds vengeance- reflect 25% of damage taken over x seconds

Mannoroths fury - aoe damage radius is 200% normal

Metamorphosis - the caster version of demonic form with new abilities

Dark bargain - all damage reduced by 100% for 8 secs, but receive a dot equal to damage received

Devour magic returned to its original iteration of being able to devour a harmful magic effect from an ally or a beneficial magic effect from an enemy

Legion talents to have a permanent doom guard pet or infernal pet

Fel armor used to give a 20% increases healing received and this was nice especially with double melee comps sitting on warlocks for entire arena matches as it allows healers to keep up heals. Healers are having a hard time keeping up with double melee.

Shadow ward - absorbed a significant amount of shadow damage up to 30 seconds

Curse of doom used to have a small chance to summon a doom guard

Grimoire of supremacy talent to have permanent doom guard or infernal pets. This was amazing and fun to be able to permanently command these demons.

Dark regeneration- heal 25% hp over x seconds

Blood fear - makes fear instant cast at the cost of a cooldown.

Make banish a baseline spell.

Soul link used to be 20% baseline and I feel this needs to be brought back as the class feels very squishy in arena.

EDIT - Pet Abilities

Succubus Seduction - this used to never have a cooldown, but now has a 30 second cooldown or 20 if you spec into black harvest. I think this is unnecessary as the cc shares a DR with fear which has no cooldown. Can we please remove the cooldown?

Succubus used to have a knockback, but it had the lowest knockback distance in the game (5yds which is nothing). It’d be cool if they brought this back & gave the knockback a little more distance.

Imp fire shield and blood pack was removed replaced with flee along with a dispel ability. Flee is mostly useless and I think raids/dungeon partys would love to have blood pact and dark bargain back.

Conflag used to root enemies for up to 3 seconds. This would be amazing to have back

This would have to be a choice node with Burning Rush because Burning Rush active means you cannot be slowed below 100% movement speed or normal run speed, so this without being a choice node would literally cancel out KJC’s bad effect. In that case either it should be removed or just be a choice node so you can choose to either have big movement speed or be able to cast while moving at a slower movement speed. The talent under BR for the improved version could just make KJC slow less, so instead of 50% slow you’re only slowed by 25% or 20% instead, which is an acceptable slow, then. Also only allow this for fillers, otherwise it’ll be ridiculous in PvP. For Aff it would be Shadow Bolt/Drain Soul, for Demo it’s Shadow Bolt, for Destro it’s Incinerate.

Aff already has things to cast while moving, just refresh DoTs. The other 2 specs should have stuff to cast, or at least Demo instant cast Shadow Bolts should be casted during these times.

That’s alright, don’t need more invincibility classes. Hunters n Mages n Paladins are fine, as are Rogues n DKs.

I kinda want this back but not for Affliction. I would much prefer just execute DoTs back, instead and Soul Effigy, but improved upon with SE for having an actual health bar and frame of its own, not so you have to like set it to your focus bar to keep seeing it. That was so dumb during Legion but so cool in PvP.

I wouldn’t really consider the ability to cast corruption and agony as something significant while moving. They need to make malefic rupture have a 50% to be instant cast if you have the three dots up. Right now it’s kind of stupid how you need all three dots up and need to cast drain soul. That means you need to also cast unstable affliction. And after all that drain soul only has a 20% chance to make malefic rupture instant… Way to many requirements for a simple 20% chance to proc of drain soul.
