The lack of customization for 2019 is a big let down, the customer is always right from a business perspective? what ever happened to this? if people do not like to use their toons anymore because of these nasty changes , how you think you will keep subscribers, sure you will keep some…time to learn a bit from classic to make retail what it should be, over wright the bad with the good and listen to peoples needs , not only my own.
You mean other than the fact that it’s an idiotic slogan that just encourages people to abuse employees and ignores the fact that the customer is often wrong?
Which people’s needs; the ones who agree with you or the ones that disagree with you?
Retail became what it is as a direct result of following “the customer is always right”
People don’t know what they want and are often wrong.
This is what happened to it. Customers don’t usually know anything and only use the random slogan as a bludgeon to rip people off.
I miss some of the old animations. And I very much miss some of the old spell effects. I can’t play my Pally, Shadow Priest or Warlock anymore. It’s just horrible.
Asking for more customization and to retain what good we already had in the game is not biased by any means and watch your ignorant words, Harass employees ?? it was a legit customer concern, who the hell are you to accuse a player who have been supporting this game with thousands of dollars since day 1
How can the customer always be right when two customers want different things and have to share the same product?
Incinerate has seen so many incarnations. None were necessary and the current iteration is hilariously awful. It looks like green garbage. The original incinerate from BC was perfect. Once they made it green in Mists, I was like “yes the circle is complete. Destruction is whole.” They need to bring back green MoP incinerate BASELINE. Making warlocks do a quest from an expansion released in 2012 just to make their spells be the color THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ACCORDING TO LORE is stupid. Make the achievement a feat of strength as it currently is, he’ll leave the quest in game for those who want to do it. But all warlock fire spells are Fel magic and should be green. Mages and shaman use the normal fire color. Warlocks use Fel fire not elemental or arcane fire. Fel is green.
More class/race customization helps, every dam race uses class specific animations , it was race specific before. still not going to please everyone, i understand that but it opens more locked doors to combat the issues
I hope you don’t walk around in public with that mentality.
You do know that is an impossible feat to uphold. Unless you have 5 people playing the game, it’s near impossible 'cause everyone thinks their opinion on what was good in the game differs from the next 100k.
Think of it as you own a paint shop buddy for example, are you just going to have green paint to offer everyone or are you going to have a wide variety? not rocket science what?
You asked what happened to the slogan; I answered. At no point did I say you were one of the people that were using it to abuse employees. Though, considering how defensive you are about it and the fact that you think paying more somehow validates you, I get the feeling you could be.
You asked for them to “over wright” bad content with good content but who decides what’s good and bad?
simple man one customer buys your product the other walks out, instead of selling 2 of your product , you only sold one , kind of sucks for both partys
No it’s not rocket science, but it is far more than thinking a single player’s egocentrism will solve the problem.
Are you advocating that they replace the current animations with racial specific ones like they use to? Then people that like the current animations will be upset. Ergo, some of the customers are not always right.
Are you advocating for an “animation studio”? Where players get to pick and choose what animations they want? Then some people will say that this is too complicated and that Blizzard should just simplify it. Ergo, some of the customers are not always right. Not to mention that this will cost a lot of resources on Blizz’s part and all kinds of issues with spell effects not lining up correctly with certain animations. More is not always more.
And your metaphor is also wrong. WoW is not a paint store where every customer gets to pick their own bucket of paint. WoW is a single bucket of paint and we have to decide together what color it will be.
It wasn’t, originally, a slogan. It’s something that’s entirely misunderstood for way too long. An individual customer may not be right but the entire lot of customers is.
Let’s use flying as an example. Let’s assume 75% of the wow playerbase wants flying back. That means we’re right and the devs are wrong HOWEVER it is also possible that flying patches over a more core problem: Transportation and how bad flight paths are.
What that should show is that transportation needs to be addressed. Customers tend to know X is better than Y but don’t know if something else is better than X.
In the case of animations, I would argue most people would prefer newer and prettier models than older models and their animations. That’s just because I’ve met wayyy too many people who prefer fancy art over a lot of practical things.
No they make another race with those weird animations and that player will be happy to choose that race and i will be happy again with what i had created in the beginning. Not advocating for a animation studio wtf lol, i just want my old race animations back fk, not to much to ask, they already had it in place for years
what animations are you talking about?
