The burning crusade is many players favorite expansion. I personally love death knights but would rather play DK at Retail and stick with TBC. I always considered TBC as Polished Vanilla. You should merge the servers for classic and TBC Classic and make it so where we have season of mastery, pvp, pve and RP total of 4 servers. If playerbase is too small make it one server then. People want to play this I have no interest in Wrath. This is the kind of thing that made people go to Private Servers… At least make season of mastery for TBC…

The players in Classic Era have no interest in touching TBC.

I would say keep each xpac as there own, so the ppl that want to play there favorite part of the game can play, ppl that pay for the game shoulnd’t be foreced to play something thay don’t want to play . I just find it crazy that Blizz looked over the fact that not everyone wants to play wotlk but still proceeded to shove it down our throats and totally ignore what ppl are saying about all of this, even tho we are the ones paying there salary. there should have been some kind of in game voting system or something. At this point the ppl that wanted to stay in TBC with everything that thay had is prob to late now, so what might end up happaning is Blizz might make a TBC classic relm but wont let u copy our char to it, so the ppl would have to start all over again witch would be B,S… this should have been all on the table from the start so the ppl can decide what thay want to do with there char instead of Blizz just forcing things upon ppl, given the fact that ive spent 3 years of my life grinding out everything that i wanted for my char and finally getting it, now i have no choice but cancle my auto pay bc i simply do not want to play wotlk and just let my char rot, bc Blizz didnt care about what the ppl wanted, Blizz only cares about the try hards and there agendas, not for the everyday average person that just wants to play and relax

Amen. LEAVE Classic era ALONE.
I do favor separate legacy servers for each expansion. I cannot even guess why Blizzard isn’t doing this. Subs would skyrocket if people could just log on and play their favorite expansion

Speak for yourself! I would happily move my Classic era Vanilla character to a TBC era server once I had felt I completed Vanilla

You picked the wrong realm then. Classic Era is dedicated to not progressing through any of retail’s expansions. That is THE defining feature of it.

dude, quit acting like you are capable of speaking for other people. You only speak for yourself.
I came back to Classic 3 weeks ago. If given the choice between Vanilla and Wrath, there is no way in heck I am picking Wrath. Ideally I would like level to 60, do all Vanilla content (at my pace), then level to 70 and do the same for TBC content.
I seriously considered picking Wrath classic and level-locking my toon at 60, then 70. But the fact that a) Wrath leveling is incredibly dumbed down, and b) there’s now no guarantee I won’t be forcibly migrated to Cataclysm before I finish made my choice pretty easy.
TBC > Vanilla >>>>>>> Wrath >>>>> everything else
I love Vanilla and, while TBC adds problems not in Vanilla, it also fixes problems in Vanilla. So TBC or Vanilla is fine with me. I picked the correct realm.

“WoW Classic will direct you to the new Classic Era realms which will have the latest phase of WoW Classic content in it and will not progress into any WoW expansion content.”

Yes of course, and it was perfectly reasonable for TBC players to assume the exact same accommodations would be made for TBC players.

I didnt mean merge them together, I ment open up classic client and you can pick between a classic server and a TBC server. Merge the exsisting classic servers to make fewer so we can have higher population on both versions.

I cant rightfully complain but I was definitely hoping for a TBC forever option. It didnt happen.
Too late now.

It is not too late, They can still make the severs im sure there will be people who will be happy to restart. Myself inlcuded. I wanted a max character for all expansions from vanilla to Cata but it is almost like retail 2.0. I personally missed most of TBC Due to real life obligations and always wanted to return.

Same here, I missed TBCC due to IRL obligations, and now I can’t play it again. Makes me sad as it was my favorite expansion. I hope blizzard brings TBC back one day.

I have been advocating for separate legacy servers for each expansion so players can play in whatever world(s) they like best.

Agree wholeheartedly, I thought the point of Classic was to let us choose what expansion of the game we wanted to play, not being force merged into Wotlk servers. Not complaining at all, but I think Blizzard has forgot the meanning of ‘Classic’-era. Also addons for TBCC are completely irrelevant now which is wasted time spent, as well.

Too few subs to have a Retail, a SOM, a Classic, a TBC Classic and then a WoTLK Classic.
Need about 16 million + subs to do that. And subs do not equal how many actually play. There were 27.5 million activity playing WoW. There are just over 1.3 million subs.
Need 4 million subs per game to make it a healthy MMO now days.
Tbc was boring in 07 and now.
Yeah it was a pretty bull**** move to force progression. I get why they did it, vanilla doesn’t have a very high population, but the fact is they made this decision WAY too prematurely. Like, if you keep releasing new versions of the game what do you expect is gonna happen? Of course the previous version is gonna be dead for a while, but stop releasing new versions and people will get bored of the latest release and feel the tickle to go back to previous versions and you’ll see a lot more floating around and people will likely become more comfortable rooting themselves in whatever version is their favorite. I was planning to float around all 3 myself, but definitely not liking the approach being taken.
All that TBC progress just vanished with the way they handled it. A huge appeal to classic was the preservation and security aspect in knowing your toon would always be there frozen in time waiting to be played again whenever. This is slowly going down the private server path that made those unappealing. Even more concerning is it’s seeming like they’re treading in the same footsteps that created the demand for them to begin with, especially with talks of Cataclysm, is wrath gonna get the same forced progression treatment? I can only pray their next step is to leave vanilla and wrath up, then bring back TBC. After that, as long as the main 3 games are their own independent thing and Cata is broken off from em, go for it, destroy that version for all I care, but give us vanilla, BC, and Wrath and leave it alone.

I can only speak for myself here but the last thing I want to do is restart. I started TBCC very late from Level 1 and a big part of that was tied into incorrectly assuming they would repeat what they did the first time around or at least something very similar but paying heed to how the Era realms played out.
I don’t even really care to speculate as to why its not happening or what the future may hold because it doesn’t really matter to me. The fact its not happening right now as the train gets ready to head to Northrend and Level 80 extinguished any hint of any tiny spark of interest I might have had in anything beyond Era - and maybe Era itself.
I was skeptical to begin with I allowed myself to think there was some merit to having some all three versions (not including Retail but that would be four if people want to pay the box price) on speed dial - particularly for classic players and/or veterans. Clearly that’s not Blizz’s plan here and who the heck knows whats coming “after” Wrath. Whether its too late or not to fire up a fresh TBCC realm or when a good time would be to do so isn’t anything I care to think about because Blizz hasn’t been consistent at all throughout this rerun or wholly acted on the side of common sense.
If it does happen in some form you can bet its going to be because Blizz finds it to be advantageous for them to do it.

A single Era realm with 3k fairly active players split relatively evenly across both factions would provide those players with a potentially very gratifying Classic experience.
Same goes for a TBCC forever realm. You dont need millions. You need just enough to make sure there’s enough people doing all the loops - you dont even need 3k. 500v500 (or thereabouts) would be more than enough on a 60 server or two to give both social and solo types their moneys worth.
