Add a talent option to Elemental blast called storm blast, make it a spender. At 10 stacks maelstrom you storm blast (the old animation from MoP) doing giga damage.
Also ffs can we get an update to the ancient ascendance model?

I don’t recall Stormblast, but then again lots of similarly named lightning/storm abilities for shaman.
But hell yes to updating the severely outdated Ascendance model.
Personally, I just want the glyph back so I can see my actual character rather than the fugly Ascendance model with its wonky animations.
That or an elemental effect surrounding the character like a wind or fire tornado/ water spout for the respective specs.
I should be excited when Ascendance procs, not thinking “dafuq’s that?”

Stormblast is just old Windstrike. Its what your storm strike becomes during ascendance.
Its not a spender.

stormblast hit REALLY. hard but ascendance didn’t give it a shorter cooldown like windstrike so you got 2-3 every ascendance no matter what and missing one would really swing your damage
i think maybe the overwhelming graphic paired with how impactful it made the singular global made them rethink it and turn it into windstrike which is just a fairly stronger stormstrike with half the cooldown instead of an omega nuke on the same cooldown
the animation was really cool but it had a good amount of gameplay/mechanical issues both in PvE and way more so PvP

Ah ok, thanks for the pictures and explanation. I initially forgot about it just by name and being tied to Ascendance but I totally remember now.
It did make Ascendance feel way more impactful and had way cooler visual/audio. I was disappointed when they changed it to Windstrike which feels like hitting with a wet paper bag in comparison, regardless of numbers.
I mean I guess with talents in it you can proc lightning bolt with windstrike so better than the flacid Windstrike audio and animation alone but still lacking in comparison to Stormblast.
Again, proccing Ascendance should feel strong but the visual and audio feedback even from Stormstrike is like “BOOM” whereas Windstrike feels like a qu… er … feminine condition “pffft… pfft … pff…”
I definitely support bringing it back as perhaps a talent option.

I support this on animation alone. I really would like the stormblast animation, this current windstrike and air ascendant is awful.

Yea and it looked so much cooler, windstrike looks very lackluster in comparison
