Can we bring back sticky threads for the server puh -leeeeeease @blizz! It’s so useful and helpful especially for RP realms.

I doubt they were useful or helpful. Most were not maintained, and like an old car, if you don’t keep it up, it becomes scrap quickly.

For me they were useful and I found a lot of new players asking me or others in our guild about coming over here to Emerald Dream. When I was looking to join an RP I used the stickies on top to determine whether or not I would be interested in joining their server.
So I would say you are incorrect, but thanks for trying to generalize our server.

Most of the stickies got only cursory attention at best. Several were redundant. The ones that counted were Maralah’s RP Guide, Zen’s update to end game progress (when it wasn’t post capped), and the most recent of the guild listings (which suffered the most from neglect). Don’t get snooty with me Tauren; I’ve pissed away the best years of my life on this server from the minute it was opened. Just because I’m done with the game doesn’t mean I can’t provide a bit of advice from the other side. If you have stuck threads, make sure you only have a few, that are helpful and necessary, and maintain them with active updates.

These forums have recently been a place of growth and support, and the stickies had been kept up to date. They were helpful to many, including myself in understanding the uniqueness of Emerald Dream. I appreciate all the horde and alliance that continue to work together for the growth of the server, the forums and our discords.

I deleted all ED characters upon retirement as a subliminal deterrent to my weaker self and as a symbol of what I’d hoped would be a single and final departure from the game (and to the many other things I wanted so badly to go do). It worked.
I did have this chipper (and unused) lightforged paladin sporting the same familiar name. By default, I use him, now that they allow forum posts without paid-up accounts.
I see you’ve gone over to the Dark (iron) side yourself. How’s that working out?

As to the forum posting without paid sub, there was a post about them removing this ability in the General Discussion.

Why the crap did they get rid of them. The forum seems naked without them. And not in a good/sexy/hubbahubba way.
