I decided against playing presevoker in s1 when I saw the rework coming. The original temporal anomaly was such an interesting heal design and I thought it was incredible.
It was flexible in that it could spread out absorbs and echoes or funnel then into 1-2 targets like a tank. Was mana expensive but spammable meaning I could funnel all my essence into disintegrates to fund casts of it over echo/blossom.
I could temporal and then spam 3 living flames that get echoed multiple times to farm essence bursts and it creates a great little system.
The chi burst version is so boring and flaccid and it’s been nerfed so much what’s the point? You gain 1.5 echoes at best out of it now, it’s just become a tedious positional raid heal and nothing else.
Before the change all I did was TA disintegrate and reversion and it was an amazing healing playstyle.

I haven’t done much in M+ with Nozdormu’s (going to try some), but in BGs / BG Blitz I use it and focus on high uptime on Dreambreath and Spiritbloom. Try to maintain high uptime with Flow state as well. It seems to allow me to pump, but I do oom quickly if I don’t use Disintegrate to regenerate my mana. So far it has been pretty good, even when compared to the current cookie-cutter build. It takes about 10s off my CDs for those spells and with Flow state it’s about 2s off on the CD of Verdant Embrace to allow for a decent ST heal. I have the 4pc to spread Echos instead of TA.
What do you drop to pick up flow state?

That is my build. Looks like I took one out of Grace Period and got rid of Essence Attunement. It’s a work in progress, but so far I enjoy it. My whole focus is using my Empowered Spells as often as I can with use of TA and getting back mana with Disintegrate. Relying on my tier to spread Echos if I don’t have a person specifically I want to echo.

Ah, I run life-giver’s flame instead

I used that talent before I switched to this build and I have been really enjoying the new build. The whole “time dragon” theme of reducing CDs and speeding up my casts/recovery rate/speed is just so fun. Also, it’s a lot of healing. I can almost keep up with a MW monk XD (lmao).
I run Life-giver’s in M+, though. Love it there
I play devastation, so I’m usually not healing outside of pvp. That said I ran a similar build in raid to 4 heal Nymue since dps were gettin ooga boogad. I think it did pretty well. Life givers flame only 1% healing it should be 1 talent point

Oh, got’cha. I was Dev last season in PvP and M+ and decided to switch it up. I almost always raid heal, though. I think Life-givers just doesn’t do enough in a raid setting. In M+ it’s one of my top heals, typically. In my last throne of tides (a +15) it was 8% of my healing, about 10mil and it was my #5 top healing ability. In my last normal raid clear it was like 1-2% of my healing on bosses.
It would be nice if it were only 1 talent point, though! Or just baked in XD

Looking at the log, I had a period from 3:15 to 4:15 where I had no fire breath healing, so I’m pretty sure I whiffed a fire breath or something lol. Not that it would’ve really changed its healing breakdown.
Yea, one fire breath likely wouldn’t have changed much.
Probably needs scaled up in a raiding environment to be more impactful, imo.
