Bring back old PvP elite sets

Gonna give you a heart, here’s a participation sticker little guy. Run along now back to somebody who wants to hear you ramble on.

I think the problem with this is that, if we’re aiming to bolster up participation, we need to bring it from the ground up. Having a larger base at the 0-1800 range would be better.

I’d argue the game needs to be fun and have a low skill floor but a high skill cap. Ease of access has been reduced (idk if we want to lower it further, I’d be in favor of it).

Something between glad and r1 like an elite tabard might be cool but anything else with the exception of maybe like mini r1 titles would be a waste of resources.

Like giving people rewards they used to own is a waste of resources? :dracthyr_uwahh_animated: lizz’ conception of resources is very much flawed…

I’m not sure there needs to be something between Glad and R1. We need to devote resources to getting people in at the lower levels, not more uniques for the top 1%

I think at some point we could once we figure out the lower/entry level issues.

If we get sl levels of inflation we definitely do

Whole ladder needs to be propped up with rewards

True, I guess. Unless they make some sort of MMR distribution that caps at like 2700-2800

If you put this reward around glad levels, it’s just an extra reward for elite players who are already PvPing.

You won’t draw in new arena players because it’s very likely unreachable for them.

If the reward is at lower ratings, you’ll create a mass carries epidemic. I guess that’s great for the people selling carries. Less good for the people facing carries.

Well they are called ‘elite’ sets

Probably my favorite thing about RSS is that it has made carries borderline impossible unless its a pilot.

You’re not wrong there.

I think this is probably the way to go.

WoD S1 Elite was so incredibly unique looking and they’re just going to bench that look forever? I’d be happy if they brought back a color variant (maybe white/silver color version) of it.

Black and Red like some of the best sets ever. With Gold trimming instead of silver.

Black, silver lining and purple glow.

But I want red glow >:(

The irony of the people who complain about PvP dying, ratings being a mess, queues being long, etc. While also insisting that only the top X% get to enjoy the rewards of participating in that content is just so funny to me. You simultaneously want 75% of players to not be able to engage at the same level (without regard for the fact that they pay for the same game and may be simply incapable of playing at that level) while also wanting that 75% to enable and validate yours or others places in that system. These threads always bring out the bootlickiest people. Build a system on exclusionary principles and then act shocked when the excluded people who have no alternative don’t like it, don’t want to participate, or try to change it. If your guiding philosophy on how the system should be (for a pay to play game no less) involves excluding more than you include, you are the problem. Literally every glad mount and elite set could just be added to each players mog set after 1000 honorable kills, and it wouldn’t change a thing except you might realize just how paperthin the enjoyability of the content is and that you were just chasing your ego or artificial scarcity.
