Bring back Masterlooter

You will still be free to make your own guild that uses whatever system you want. Nothings stopping you.

You may wish to check who you are raging against here, I am the one arguing for Trading restrictions on personal loot be removed, So just quoting two words out of context and then going on a big rant isn’t exactly helping your cause friend.

Statiatically significant portion != all.

An endlessly repeating loop that results in deadlock is default a victory for maintaining the status quo so I guess I’ll take it.

There were plenty of raiding guilds running PL in Legion.

Including Elitist Jerks.

Guess I don’t want the option of joining most mythic guilds closed.

There may have been a few, but every mythic guilds I have seen recently uses RClootcouncil, which primes me to believe that they would switch to ML if they could. Why would I want my possible guild options to shrink significantly, just because you can’t deal with slow gearing? If you want more gear, advocate for more gear drops. I will join you.

RCLootCouncil is an addon that facilitates trading. Not a loot system.

We use it. We don’t have a loot council.

More gear drops, currency drops, etc.

I feel like master loot is borderline trolling. Like instead of advocating for a system that everyone could agree on, these people insist on pushing something they know others don’t want.

Gaslight much?

“You didn’t experience what you experienced. You experienced what I said you experienced” lmao.

That’s not the recommendation. You know that interview guilds do with you when you apply? Interview them back.

I have never been interviewed before joining a guild.

I don’t acknowledge “alternative facts” / fake realities. Better to just shut that nonsense down quick so we can focus on real scenarios we all can agree exist.

You were part of Efficient. They interviewed me before I trialed in Ny’alotha.

Well, I had 10+ years of drama free loot distribution across 4 guilds with masterlooter. Since they took it away, close to 20% of loot that would be upgrades for someone else gets vendored or sharded because the game can’t tell what an upgrade it is.

Loot should be tradeable 100% if ML isn’t brought back outright. At least then it’s purely opt in.

I was not. Our raid team moved there together as a second team, then moved out together when things didn’t work out. I never raided with Efficient main raid team.

That name isn’t really that relevant anymore all things considered, Back in the day they were top end but they are hardly the last word in raiding or theorycrafting now, Not that it is Relevant to this argument.

One guild using it does not a system be wide spread.

Yes it facilitates the trading and logistics of trading loot and it is as the name suggests typically used in a loot council Environment but it can be used in other environments, It’s a well written toool.

Correct and one of the reasons why it should never return is that it allows one person or a group of people to have Leverage over others, That being said if it was run properly in all of it’s uses it would never of been removed, But even still since people are always part of the equation they cannot inherently be 100% objective with regards to things so ML was never 100% fair.

That being said ML filled a very specific void and that was moving loot about within your own team or guild and yes that void needs to be fixed and filled but without bringing ML back because ML was too open for abuse.

I don’t know why you aren’t advocating for PLNR or (Personal Loot No Restrictions) It’s a lot easier to advocate for a positive change to the game as it will be able to allow guilds and teams to trade loot amongst themselves but it wont allow guilds or teams to have power or control over others.

Maybe chill a bit we are all Adults here and Brewa while annoying at times is one that does respond well to reasonable arguments, Remember More flies with honey than vinegar.

Found your chief problem. If you’ve never been interviewed by a guild it means you are joining terrible fly by night guilds that only exist to exploit people. Basically they are pugs but with more effort put into the grift.

They also don’t get that there are valid reasons to hesitate to give trials loot.

The most obvious is that the guild doesn’t think the trial is going to pass for whatever reason (could be performance, could be just not a good fit for that guild).

The other is what happened to my guild at the start of the tier. We had a druid join, they seemed to fit in, were putting up big numbers as both balance and resto. We were pretty sure they were going to pass, but as soon as they got 4set, they vanished. And I haven’t seen or heard from them since.

You did, a lot of people didn’t. Blizz decided to prioritize their pain over your 20% vendored loots. Extremely grateful they did that btw.
