But there wasn’t the complaining like there was from stories from older expansions.
It’s almost like giving people options let them play how they wanted to so if they didn’t want to use ml they didn’t have to and if they wanted to they could have.
That’s the beauty of the current system. You can only blame the system for its RNG, instead of accusing someone of being greedy, petty or stupid for denying you loot.

ML isn’t always guaranteed to be arbitrated by a fair group. Players are too greedy and stupid.

So if the group is bad you take your friends and leave.
The guild then cannot raid because it is missing players
They kill 0 bosses
No loot for the tyranical loot overlords
Incentive to be fair with loot.

More like they replace you, get the loots then laugh behind your backs.
You ever talked to a raid leader who just had a bunch of people quit? It’s not that easy to do and at the very least will lead to reprogging bosses.
In 8.1 after killing sylv 1 time a bunch of players stopped playing and it took us i think 4 weeks to reprog the bosses and get back to her.
Check my logs and dates of kills of you want to. I joined the guild 50 pulls into their sylv prog and then stayed until the reclear to get all bosses killed.
Not every player has the power to break raids by pulling a good chunk of the raid apart just for being jacked for loot.
Then I suggest people put more effort I to joining a good guild not just the first one from trade chat.
Guild reputation matters and with a little asking around its easy enough for find out about guilds on your server
In the context of having ML, this is still ignoring the fact that a collective has more power than the individual who should be rewarded on the same level as the collective.
No they shouldn’t. My gm and raid leaders ou tin hours of work into bosses before we get there.
They come up with a strat (often a combination of a could that other people did) they look at logs of guilds around our ranks or slightly higher that got there fegore us.
They allocate healing and dps cds in the right paces
They draw maps of movement during fights
The decide of the comp of what will help us kill the bosses.
They post write ups in discord about what we will do.
I read it, watch a 5 min guide and turn up.
Not that they funnel themselves anyway but it’s silly to say people deserve things equally. That’s why I will always be happy giving end boss mounts to officers etc first. It’s no mean feat to run a guild so they earn it.
In any case if the loot isn’t done in a way you approve don’t join the guild because it doesn’t suit your needs. Go join a different one. Don’t tell the guild you are joining that they should all do loot the way you like when they are all already happy doing their thing.
Or if you think that raid leading isn’t that much work then go make your own 
Then no one can have ML.

You wouldn’t even be in the guild why do you care? If me and my friends want to turn on cams and have a break dancing competition to decide who gets loot what business is it of yours?

Players outside of your guild is affected by ML whether you use it fairly or not.

Believe it not other people do play this game who get screwed over by ML.
We can go in circles all day but that is something you can’t write off or deny.
Not if they dont join a group using ML they dont…
Notice how when PL was also an option in legion the stories of people getting “ripped off” all but disappeared?
