If every single raid guild uses master loot, your options are submit or lose out on raiding. That shouldn’t happen.

If every single raid guild uses ML then the majority of raiders wanted ML.

If most raiders didn’t want ML then finding a raid guild that doesn’t use ML if it returned shouldn’t be hard.
