Bring back master looter for Guild Groups

Finally we get to the actual issue - you think your guild would screw you over if Master Looter was returned as an option.

If the other 30 people can tolerate the loot master, what’s so bad about them?

Fixed. :joy::joy:

So find a new guild.

If the guild is so quick to screw you over, it’s not a good guild to begin with.

You want me to cite the fact that few people even mention a return of ML other than the same tiny few? Right… let me cite the lack of complaints… that makes sense…

Blizzard has the info and they made the choice.

Meanwhile, the only people who want ML back are the same tiny few who simply use Alts to upvote themselves, and spam the forums. Blizzard can see that few people are asking for the return of ML or complaining about PL. As opposed to the other changes you mentioned that had broad appeal.

Also, those changes you mentioned occured in the expac that the issue was introduced in. Universal PL has been in effect for all of BfA, and the next Expac has been announced, with no mention of removing Universal PL or bringing ML back.

Most people seem fine with it, since its always the same fringe asking for the return of ML. Unlike flight and essences, which were roundly asked for by many.

Naw. We can handle personal responsibility for our loot.

Sorry your basement dwelling GM can’t give loot to his besties.

Eh? I’m not the one crying because they think their guild will screw them over on loot.

Could be, sounds like they’re in a terrible guild if the only thing keeping them from being jerks is being physically unable to do so.

If you can believe it though, there are guilds that actually distribute loot fairly.

You aren’t personally responsible for your loot with Personal Loot, despite what the name implies. You line up to the loot trough and get what the random number generator spits out.

No he wouldn’t. My guild leader uses a spreadsheet so I trust him. But he would go back to ML in a heartbeat and MY CHOICE would be removed (other then a ridged choice of stay or leave.)
I would stay because I like the guild leader and I like the people. But I should not have my ONLY choice be stay or leave, I would like more options then that.

Few people in general even voice an opinion on loot systems regardless of what they prefer.

It’s not a hot button topic, especially not within a community where the vast majority of it wouldn’t ever be in a ML situation with any regularity.

Asking GD the opinion on ML is like asking their opinion on League of Legends. There’s some overlap, but not nearly enough that you’re gunna get a “Masterloot Megathread” sitting at the top of GD every day for a year, like Pathfinding, High Elves or Rating Peoples Transmogs does.

Your choice is to stay in the guild or not. At this point you are just making up excuses because you have no argument. If your the only one with the issue, then apparently it isn’t that bad.

Your choice is more important than his choice? It is very odd seeing these responses… they really do come down to not wanting other people to be able to have another option for loot.

Your argument is “if you get screwed just find another group of strangers who may or may not funnel loot to that girl who flirts in discord.”

If you think people didn’t get screwed under ML you’re in denial.

Trade your loot. It’s easy

So do your research and ask around? You aren’t joining a guild to play with a bunch of randos when talking about ML, you are joining a guild for serious raiding.

Seriously, excuses.

I think what it is, is they don’t want to leave their current guild and are afraid that they would have to do so because they wouldn’t be able to get loot if the rules changed.

I do have a argument, you just don’t wish to factor it in. A lot of people have the same argument.

I also think back to my old guild. They where filled with people I loved and leadership I liked but who where irresponsible at best ( but loved to use passive and toxic salesman’s tactic’s to make them sound supper responsible. ) That was a hard leave. A leave that has left a scar on me that I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.

Most guilds didn’t advertise with “We have the most toxic and corrupt loot council in game!!!”

You had to raid for month or more to build up enough DKP to out bid someone and then get told, sorry someone else needs it more.

The only people master loot is good for is the long established top 0.01% guilds and scammers. So are you in a top guild?

No, you kind of don’t. You keep moving goal posts around and using topics that have nothing to do with the subject at hand to make excuses as to why you don’t want ML. Every single one of your claims are easily countered, both by current game design as well as a 100% guild only ML system.

So it was a garbage guild in your eyes, so you left. If no one else bothered to go with you, than apparently it wasn’t that bad.

Not really. There is only one argument. People don’t want to have loot doled out to them by their guild. It can be abused.

Your only argument is “we want to give loot to who we want, and if anybody has a problem with it they can just find another guild “

Ok,

Until you actually address the complaints with ML in a more serious tone rather then that of “just suck it up” you will most likely never get ML back.

You can only get things pushed past the Blizzard wall if 98% agree on it. As your going, you can’t get that percent.
