When making adjustments to any loot system you have to keep in mind basic human psychology and adjust for it.
Give me a break.
Just let guilds choose whatever system they want.
Most heroic raiders prefer PL, it’s not s surprise most heroic guilds opted for PL in Legion.
Most mythic raiders prefer ML, and it’s not surprising most mythic guilds opted for ML during Legion.
Such wow! Much psychology! Players were choosing the loot system they preferred…
Amaze!!!
But the players are not the ones doing the choosing. The guild leader is!
You see that’s the sticking point. If the system did a blind vote and asked every player if they wanted ML and they choose yes…then sure let them have ML. But if the system is not casting a blind vote, the guild leadership would just be doing what ever they like.
But surprisingly if you talk to most here. (mostly guild leadership) They don’t want a vote cast, they just prefer a system by which if you don’t agree you get out.
Amaze!!! I know. And anyone who actually formed friendships or personal relationships and don’t see fellow human beings as just “arrows in their quiver” would be amazingly not happy with being left with this as the only choice.
Most are not fighting to keep ML from you we just want a system in which we get the say instead of the guild leaders only.
Then join a guild using the loot system you prefer!
Man, you got some crappy friends if they would rather have the loot over the friendship.
You know something, it’s interesting seeing this debate in this game and going over to FF14, where they have Master Loot, and barely anyone is using it. Been playing since it launched and I think I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve seen people using master loot. I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that the game has no raid lockouts, only loot lockouts, if that makes sense.
You jumping to the conclusion that I wouldn’t choose ML. I actually would if I trusted my guild leadership.
But you seem to be looking at this as a two sided relationship of me VS the guild. When really the situation is far more complex and involves multiple relationship and personality types. Even though I may not agree with their loot principals there may be other things I do agree with them with and I may enjoy and value them as friends.
I did once, I joined a nice guild that was casual. Then some Mythic reject came in and infested the layed back leadership and morphed it into a group of mythic try-hards that can’t make it past the first 3 bosses. It went from PL to ML and no matter what I did I could not change it.
I’m not so much afraid of the mythic raiders as I am of their try-hard rejects taking over every casual guild I grow to like.
Cool but it’s a guild, not your personal friend group. It could have your friends in it, but the will of the guild is what matters. If the bulk of your guild and friends enjoy ML, it’s on you to decide how to deal with that. If the bulk agree with you, then it’s up to the guild master to decide if he wants to actually have a guild or not.
The majority will always have the power in a guild because the option to leave is always there.
Ok you commented on the middle with generic ML point # 345.
Then ignored the part where I pointed out that the mythic raider re-jects take over innocent casual guilds.
So mythic is leaving their mess on the rest of us to clean up. And the rest of us get trapped with the hard choices of leaving. All because OHH NO’es Timmy didn’t get his BIS that would have increased his dps 1.2%!!!
I skipped over it because it’s irrelevant. Unless you currently don’t trust your guild leadership. If you don’t, again, that’s on you to keep sitting in your garbage guild.
That’s literally impossible unless allowed to. Kind of falls in line with my “will of the guild” comment.
Uh oh, here comes the hyperbole. Get ready everyone, soon the insults will be coming because they have no argument.
Your right I have no recourse. I can not fill a bucket that is already full of it.
Cya laters.
Yeah because personal responsibility isn’t part of your vocabulary.
Well someone has to play for myself. If not me, who? Sorry but i fail to see anything wrong with that.
Doesn’t it also drops tombstone currency for some items? I’m told its not the best items to be bought from those but they’re still progression either way. I’ve returned to FFXIV recently but haven’t done much more than the story.
If anything i’d want to have ML AND PL at the same time on the raid on wow:
1- Personal Loot would be always active granting everyone a chance at looting.
2- If on a guild incursion, Master Loot would be activated and would work alongside PL. Everyone would get a chance at looting. Raid leader will be able to click the boss a second time for it to drop multiple items on master loot style and distribute according to whatever agreed philosophy by the guild.
3- Maybe the tombstones things from final fantasy could be dropped from the bosses? At this point i wonder if it would be asking for too much though.
Yeah but the stones are for lower item level gear. The savage raids drop another currency to also bolster the gear drops from the bosses.
I love when the Master Loot argument boils down to “only people who achieved Cutting Edge should have a say in how loot works!”
Which ignores new players completely, or players who never raided much but want to get into it. Or people who were a couple bosses shy of Cutting Edge.
First, only Mythic Raiders should chime in.
But if you have raided Mythic… the first few bosses don’t count. And neither do any bosses… except the last.
Thankfully, Blizzard disagrees with your constant goal post shifting of who matters.
The argument boils down to that because the majority of guilds using ML were mythic guilds.
Most normal and heroic guilds chose PL anyways so if all you do is raid heroic adding guild only ML wouldn’t affect you…aka if you don’t have cutting edge achievements why do u give a crap how cutting edge guilds distribute their loot?
I love how the PL argument boils down to “I am unwilling to accept personal responsibility for my actions”.
If people would, they wouldn’t be in guilds were they get routinely taken advantage of by these evil ML guilds.
Because raid teams are that. A team.
If you don’t care about guild progression, and you only care about yourself…I wouldn’t want you in my guild.
“willing to accept personal responsibility for their actions”.
Seem’s the ex ML’ers are unwilling personal responsibility for years of shotty MLing and or turning a blind eye to the problem and insisting nothing was ever wrong. Instead they prefer to put all blame on the victim’s and refuse to even take personal responsibility in shaming the innocent. Nor do they take personal responsibility for clogging the ticket feature for years. Nor do they take personal responsibility for what happens to other guilds if they get their system back. Nor do they take personal responsibility for starting these horrific threads so they can gang up on and insult anyone who likes PL.
Take some responsibility for that first!
What do you want me to take personal responsibility for? The responsibility of others?
That isn’t personal.
I’ve never turned a blind eye to how my guild operated ML.
You aren’t asking for personal responsibility. You want my responsibility to cover others.
I am asking for your responsibility to cover yourself. If you are in a guild where the person is cheating you out of loot…leave.
That is personal responsibility.
