You know that comment I made about reading? The point is you should read what people say, instead of getting stuck on the fact that they disagree with you on a matter. Again, less time being upset people disagree, and more reading what they say.
I believe every individual needs to have it on at least one character.
Blizzard was going to remove the requirement, then backed off and didn’t. Which is really, really, really stupid.
What we feel is what we feel.
Your effort is still there, and if anything, it might be more difficult since Legion was so heavily designed around the artifacts of the time.
I mean there’s an argument that could be made for cloaks since there is lore tied to it. But I hold the stance that if it’s based on the current class design of the expansion then it needs to stay gone because the challenge is now altered. I’d rather Blizz not have to worry about balancing an old challenge and instead creates a new one with new exclusives.
Yup you can cheese your way up there by flying outside by the sea and moving into the timeless isle which automatically dismounts you to then use a goblin glider, there is one area being the treasure for the achievement which will not boot you out.
But that’s the thing Jalen. ALL previous content was based around classes of the time. That argument can’t really be used.
The issue with the legendary cloak is purely because of its need for the Ordos bridge.
IIRC though, if you have the quest started I think you can complete it still.
and either way someone gets screwed so why should you get your way when you didn’t put in any effort or time towards something that was disclosed up front as time exclusive?
you made the mistake, not me. you should pay the price, not me.
i put in more time and effort than i would have because it was time exclusive. if they ever come back, all that time and effort was wasted since i would’ve been able to get it at any point. i see why you want it, werebear is awesome. but just because something looks cool doesn’t mean it should be brought back just to satisfy your “I WANT IT NOW” ego.
It depends on how far into the chain you were, at a certain point if you didn’t complete the quest at X you can no longer complete it, even if you have the quest. Same with those who still have Atiesh splinters but not all for the staff.
The argument can go both ways though because as you said, someone gets screwed.
Why should you get something when someone who wasn’t around can’t? There are many who did not even know of the expansion or were not playing. Why should they get screwed because of life’s cruel or unfortunate circumstances?
Why should people be punished? Just so you can feel good about pixels?
By no means am I saying what you feel is wrong dude. I am simply saying is that everyone’s feelings are equivalent, and so we shouldn’t use them as an argument.
Ah thank you. I could not recall how exactly the quest went for it. I think you get stuck at one point.
I have many panda cloaks and many WoD rings so with that said, They should have never removed either of those quest lines. The stories you ventured through were great.
I just want the DK challenge armor from MoP.
Back then, I didn’t know it was time limited or I would have rushed to get it. Now all I have is that ugly looking DK set from Legion.
Except I can make that argument because it was advertised to be a challenge that will be removed in Battle For Azeroth by Blizzard. It was a challenge that was designed for the current class design of the expansion. That includes Artifact Weapons and Legendaries which both are now gone.
Reintroducing the Mage Tower means it’s a completely new challenge all together. If people didn’t do it they missed out.
Thats why I always feel pre-patch events and challenge mode dungeons (MoP/WoD) and Legion mage tower should never return these were meant to be limited time events.
However due to how impactful on the lore and breaking from tradition (that you could expansions later still farm legendary items) like the MoP cloak and WoD ring should still be in the game for all players. The WoD ring questline had so much of the expansion lore tied to it which is now gutted out making WoD feel even more broken as a whole. As well as the MoP cloak (which Dev’s had said they would impliment a way to kill Ordos without the cloak in a Blue post years ago… their solution now is BMAH) preventing you from going places if you don’t have it, as well as the story with Wrathion. In BFA in 8.3 if you didn’t play in MoP you will not have the full story context with Wrathion like you can still have from the Badlands and completing the Rogue Cata legendary Dagger.
You can take the ring and the cloak out. There does have to be some kind of reward though for the person who never played through it. For people like us who did, I have no problem doing it again on alts for nothing just the quest lines.
so it’s my fault and i should get screwed because other people who obviously weren’t interested are now interested? or in the case of new players, i should get screwed because they weren’t around. i wasn’t around for the opening of silithus, so where is my black qiraji mount? oh right, that was a time exclusive and you don’t see me complaining about it because i wasn’t there, didn’t put in the time, and don’t deserve it.
i try to be fair to everyone but the only thing i would even consider this for is a death causing illness or accident. anything less is just you not putting in the effort and time. otherwise you are telling me that everyone should get everything because they could’ve had a cold and the sniffles are just the WORST!
why should i be punished? just so you can feel good about some pixels? stupid argument is stupid.
when the world is fair, let me know. i’d love to cure my moderate-severe depression and already feeling like a piece of garbage most days is a good day to me. i don’t need to feel worse because you guys decided my effort and time was meaningless.
They could just make a duplicate mage tower in Shadowlands really and put the Legion weapon mogs up as a choice reward if people don’t like the Shadowlands rewards. That’s if they did decide to do that.
No. Not like Classic. Not like Classic because that’s not even remotely comparable.
Like the Challenge appearances. And the raid achievement mounts.
They aren’t coming back. But by all means, continue to hope. Continue to dream. It’s important to have those things in life. It’s a distraction from the impending nothingness that awaits us all.
(That “nothingess” being the eternal void that is the Mage Tower because it is never, ever, never-ever, coming back.)
