Bring back layering

the queues are bring wildly inappropriate for a game we pay for.
The population alone isn’t vanilla like
So layers are the solution
People who don’t have a vested stake on mega servers don’t have an opinion on layering

Sorry your opinion is invalid

Layering should 100% make a comeback. It should’ve never left imo

Layering will adversely affect the AQ event and how quickly the gates will open, this affecting server/ world firsts. That will lead to every guild serious about competing for these firsts transferring to layered servers en mass, and they will bring satellite guilds and hangers on with them.

The servers having issues with these long queues are known quantities. Remember before classic even released how blizzard warned against rolling on these servers because they were past full and would experience long queues? They weren’t just talking short term.

Whitemane had a 3+ hour queue last night. At 2 am est, the queue was STILL 2 hours.

Zones are flooded with rmt goldfarmer mage accounts. I counted well over 200 across wetlands, duskwood, and westfall the other night. Right now there are 31 level 60 mages in stratholme at 10am est on a weekday, jibberish names and no guild.

This isnt sustainable. Whitemane wasnt ready for layers to be removed. Either find a real fix or keep the layers in. No one who plays on this server is happy with the current state of things.

A couple things:

-whitemane is locked to transfers, so this isnt possible

-the aq event is already likely to be a massive dumpster fire on whitemane due to the population size. This server is NEVER going to experience enough attrition until well after p6 to even remotely approach the size of a full vanilla server. It would require not half of the server pop to disappear, but TWO THIRDS. Its not happening. As it stands now, I expect silithus to simply crash when the aq event happens. A single zone will not be able to handle the massive population of whitemane.

Bring back layers and indefinitely close Whitemane until the AQ gates open on all of our layers.

We are sick and tired of refugees coming to our server and clogging it up. Whitemane should be CLOSED. You can crash on Grobbulus if you want to.

And realistically, every server should be locked to transfers for the AQ event, otherwise expect low pop servers to have their scarab lord ninjaed by a server transfer with a completed scepter and banks full of mats. Bet on it, in fact.

do you really think the AQ event will even be remotely playable without layering?

Herod feels the pain. 2 hour queue Wednesday, 12:28 AM EST. Multiple people getting disconnected on raid day and thrown into a queue of thousands of people. world completely unfarmable.

The playerbase WANTED #NoLayers and that is what you got. Enjoy.

This is also called “You think you do, but you don’t.”

The vocal minority that was the #nochanges movement were wrong and that ship sailed a long time ago. Doesn’t seem like a majority of the people speaking out now still want 4 hour queue times. The only people that speak out in favor of no layers are the same ones who are able to afk all day to save their spot, or the ones who are currently not working. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to assume those same people don’t represent a large majority of the player base who simply want to play the game. And this is coming from someone who is able to afk and willing to sit in queue.

Imagine being stupid enough to roll on a mega server knowing they were getting rid of layering LUL.
Buy a transfer and shut up.

Remember how blizzard let people to continue to transfer to Whitemane even after queues were an issue? Remember how Blizzard allowed people to create new accounts on Whitemane even after queues were an issue?

Stop brining up the tired old argument that we were warned. Blizzard created this mess they need to fix it

What would you say to the people who picked low pop servers that became queue ridden dumpster fires? They did the right thing (by your logic) picking a low pop server in the beginning, and the same transfers you advocate for are the reason they might now have to shell out 25 dollars to leave their server, starting the cycle all over again for different servers.

Queues wouldn’t be an issue if blizzard banned the botters. I mean, have you seen the kodo GY outside maraudon? There’s 5 hunter bots any given time.

imagine having the stones to type something this stupid and think it’s actually an argument that holds water

Sooo true it’s sad that people on low pop servers are trying to keep layering out

Ban the bots. Ban the multiboxers. Queues are now either eliminated or minimal. Layering is not needed
