Bring Back Guild Cash Flow

It is no coincidence that the moment they removed Cash Flow was when WoW was at its peak and started to declined ever since. Bring back guild cash flow. It’s free money to everyone!

Actually the down fall for any Guild is when they start trying to pick the pockets of their members!
If your members aren’t willing to freely donate to the Guild Bank than you have a bigger problem than the fact Guild Cash Flow was removed!

Correction: Free money to the guild leader.

The reason it was removed was people were making guilds solely to profit off of the players and they would use certain addons to spam guild invites and advertisements. At the peak of the problem, you could create a new character and have 3 guild invite messages before you even got past the introduction cutscene.

Yeah because the guild master wants to buy his mount thanks to the guild members.

But more guilds mean more competition which mean more fun to its members. Win-win!

I don’t see the fun in guilds where nobody ever talks.

Did they start to ban people for exploiting this feature. help me trying to remember.

From Ion at the time:

“However, it also fuels some degenerate player behavior: if you’ve made an alt lately, you’ve probably noticed that you can’t go more than a minute or two without receiving a guild invite - typically from “leaders” who are looking to recruit armies of often-unwitting players to both level guilds for later sale, and to increase the amount of Cash Flow gold that is siphoned into coffers to which only they have access. It can be a meaningful amount of gold for one player’s pockets, but for something like a raiding guild, Cash Flow gold barely makes a dent in something like total repair costs.”

Yes please! I used to let my guildies repair their stuff with the guild money earned. I’d like to let people go back to guild repairs.

No guild money earned = no free repairs.

People were getting suspensions over “spam” because they were sending out massive number of messages. However, they often would argue it wasn’t spam because they were only sending one message per person.

oh thank you for time.

I believe they removed the perk because of how some guild leaders would spam invite people just to fill their own pockets. In response to a previous post, you can still earn guild gold by completing dungeons, raids, etc. so if the guild is having gold issues, it is an internal guild issue. Blizzard is not responsible to resolve those issues.

If the guild pays repairs then chashflow happens , if not it should not ,

At this point in time there are not many big active guilds

So if cash flow would be good

As for greedy guild masters u could just join a diff guild

You say “pick members pockets” then you insist they be donating! I don’t even put gold in my personal guild.

They could do a revised form of cashflow and have it all go into a repair only account, so the guild can pay for guild member repairs, and they can set the repair amount limit per rank.
The guild could earn money still from people questing but it can only be in a repair fund, not withdrawable by anyone.
As a way to throttle the spam invites the guild would only benefit from cashflow off of members who have been a part of the guild for a certain length of time, say a month.

You still get spammed by a few guilds. Plus there is an option to block invites if you don’t want the spam. IMO they need to reevaluate and add perks back in.

No, just to the guild master.

on my alts like this one that i dont bring in main guild. thw guild can have 100s of members. i will see maybe 4 or 5 online and no talking. if you ask something or see if anyone wants to do something its silence normally in return.

very sad indeed but i tried to find active guilds with other alts with no luck.
