If gdkp was in sod all that farming would be invalidated by some whale who bought gold and boosted his toon the day before raid.
no. GDKP was degenerate and just bad. promoted really bad culture within the game.

Since people want to buy gear so bad with gold how about blizzard cut the middleman out and put all the gear in the in game store.

I’ve been apart of GDKP runs when they were allowed and now that they’re gone, it’s much better. The toxicity of GDKPs was not healthy, some of the worst player base I’ve ever seen.

That definitely happened to me, specifically in tbc with both dst and the vash belt. In that case at least its a redistribution of the wealth to me and the other raid members. And really that onus is on blizz to stop that whale. Tbh not really that different than a guild hard carrying some of their terrible members into BiS gear
I will say there were some toxic pug gdkps, but no better or worse than the community that is still left. There’s always fringe cases to make everyone look bad. However, we ran it through discord, had vetted groups, and never had issues. Ha, the biggest issue was probably that we had too smooth of runs and got some of the best players on the server, that then wouldn’t fill other SR raids.
Also i am not Elron. Amazingly multiple people can share a pro-gdkp sentiment. Not really @ you logs, more for the others posting

As someone who made my own guild ran it since phase 1 theres no reason for GDKP and i hope they keep them banned in future endevors, sorry it inflates the auction remember phase 1 gear was 50-100g for bis greens in phase 1 because people were buying gold, those who say it doesnt it does come on, i do like their new system it does seem like theyre tracking down on gold buyers and i do got 30k gold nothing to do with it in SOD but i also dont play many alts and use that gold for my guild more than anything. Keep GDKPs banned go find a guild and communicate with people

We’re at the end of SOD, not p1. Any impacts on inflation are completely overblown. The guild aspect is a little more fair, but again, I don’t have a set schedule that i can make the same time every week. If i have to pug anyway, let me at least enjoy how i do it
Also these other posters have a super weird obsession with Elron. We get y’all don’t like GDKPs, but at least lay out real arguments. Blizz already said it didn’t stop RMT
It’s easy to throw accusations without evidence, but if you’re going to claim someone is buying BiS gear with RMT gold, back it up with proof. Hiding behind an alt while making baseless claims is just bad-faith discussion. If you believe something is happening, present actual evidence Classic Zaalg behavior tho.
