Let Greg take over Classic and run a new branch of expansions a new fork capitalizing on the lessons of the failed retail experience today. Don’t just progress from Classic to TBC to WOTLK . build anew , a path not taken.
Pretty sure Greg is perfectly happy where he’s at.
And they’re not going to put development resources to re-boot the WoW games while retail is literally still running and doing just fine, and while most people interested in Classic are there for the exact experience they had originally. It’s not going to happen. Give it up.

We need John Staats to make dungeon layouts again.
at this point I doubt Hideo Kojima and Shigeru Miyamoto game designing experience would be enough to fix some of the content issues plaguing WoW
heck I don’t think the combined power of MacGyver, Gibbs from NCIS and the entire team from Leverage would be enough to undo the damage

This was also said about Ghost Crawler at the time. And people hated him.
I dislike Ion. I think he’s bad for the game. But don’t pretend GC was any more loved than Ion at the time. The devs are the punching bags of the community, and that’s how it has and always will be.
Some deserve it more than others, though. Ion is…not great. I hope he figures things out.

wouldn’t having those two try to fix wow be like having a heart surgeon try to do brain surgery? They’ve got little to no experience in the mmo genre.

Well this is awkward. I remember when the forums hated Ghostcrawler and held a party when he left. He was so universally hated by ret paladins that there’s an Easter egg in the game about it: if a paladin flips the Flippable Table, a tiny ghost crab will sometimes spawn and be hurled off the table. A reference to all the angry table-flipping emotes from ret paladins.
Wait, is that better? I can’t tell.
Those dungeons were great on release. Wish they would have kept that philosophy instead of moving toward the Diablo AoE speedrun thing we have now.
Everyone hated Cata dungeons before 4.1.
