Anyone else feel the way I do about Garrisons? All that work to build it up only to never use it again. Please Blizzard!!! Bring back our Garrisons! It was part of the game I really enjoyed!

Player housing seems to be something a lot of players would like that’s close enough to Garrison and even an improvement, and I’m personally loving the idea. I hope they give us something like a nice cottage with a lovely farm or view, add an AH, some furniture, and a warm fireplace with a rocking chair. Things like that I’d love to see.
I’m excited to see how it goes considering I have a more casual, chill, laid back play style which is all about just collecting toys, mounts, pets, transmogs and stuff and just going back and forth between old world content and easy, accessible Shadowlands stuff.
I just love listening to music and audios, maybe even watching videos on Youtube while I, say, go back and farm ores or pick herbs from older zones and expansions.
The nostalgia’s awesome and it helps me relax and escape into my own world of daydreams…

Did anyone see the player housing portion of the new Harry Potter (Hogwarts) game? The game looks amazing overall but the housing looked particularly cool (and i’m not even a fan).

I like the garrison as my homebase…but Id never want an expansion built around it again. Player housing…or the Mists farm kind of thing would be cool. Nice side attraction without being the bulk of the game

exactly.
just do it similar to ESO. Dont put in all the extras. Use it for hearthing and cosmetics and some extra storages space. Make lots of housing items drop in all sorts of content from pet battles to questing and up thru raiding.

I like the idea of Garrisons on paper. I would not mind if Blizzard revisited the idea, provided that they learned from their mistakes in WoD.

WoW is the only game I play so I’m not familiar with that but yes, I love that idea. Garrisons had interesting quests where you farm and collect items to build things like an AH or a music box / gramophone. Those were nice!

And since they are doing cross-faction now, it would be a great way for each of the classes to mingle with other people and share ideas.
They just need to add a bedroom to them.

As a deeply territorial person, the biggest feature of a garrison is that it was mine. Class halls, as public spaces, didn’t feel at all similar to me.
(The Queen’s Conservatory is the closest thing we have now, but it’s so out of the way and limited in scope that it feels like an instance rather than a space of my own)

You must have never experienced it firsthand. I hate being lumped together in Class halls or Covenant Sanctuaries.

Just give us player housing! 
It’s astounding to me that somehow SWTOR, dumpster fire that game is, managed to make a decent housing system and WoW still has nothing.
