Bring back First Aid

Zero reason to have removed it from the game

That’s it. That’s the post.

I remember leveling first aid back in vanilla, and the quest you had to do in Theramore(?) to advance to the next level. It was rather fun. I used first aid frequently.

It would be nice to have it again as a fun thing to level on the side. I probably wouldn’t use very much though. I regenerate pretty fast, and also have exhiliration as a heal, potions and food. So not much use for it currently.

The game is too fast-paced now. If first aid were still useful, we would see sweaties all rolling tailoring, but that isn’t the case. Bringing back first aid in a meaningful way would involve changing the entire game. Could be a good thing, but for now I’m satisfied playing Classic when I want that flavor.

Agree, there is no down side to having first aid

I think it would be great to have as an option for classes like warrior that don’t readily have a way to regenerate outside of buying/making their own food. Which isn’t really a huge deal, but it’d be great to just have the option

I’d rather they implement Shadowlands Archaeology than revive First Aid, so we can go back to leveling it, and forgetting about it.

I’m good with it coming back or staying gone, but I’m sure the game would have to be balanced around everyone suddenly having bandages again.

Yes, I can definitely see that. A warrior was my very first character and I used first aid a lot, and went through a lot of food just while questing. I haven’t played the class in a very long time.

It would be nice to have something to do with all the scraps of cloth rotting in my bank that I can’t even sell on the AH for pennies.

I wouldn’t mind it making a comeback.

Isnt it part of Tailoring now tho?

No one cared for it then and it was becoming useless by legion

Back in vanilla-Wotlk yea sure it’d make sense

But as the expansions go on it was becoming useless

I agree. I want my Field Medic Title.

So why didn’t you get it during Legion

I certainly miss it. It was easy to level as I always had a bunch of cloth in my bags. It was also very handy as I like to help people. As a hunter all I can usually do is DPS and grab aggro by MD to my pet. Over the years I’ve come across quite a few people who were beat up and I would walk over to them and use first aid. Was a little annoying when they would walk off before I was done. Let me save you!!!

Because Blizz made it useless. They could have done something about the scaling so it could heal more.

Not everyone had the time to get it done, unfortunately. Add in the RNG drop rate of the items that start the various quests and some people were simply out of luck. I was one of those.

I still remember doing those quests to advance first aid on so many characters. The horde one was at Hammerfall in Arathi, if I remember correctly.

They got rid of it because it more or less lost its point. The majority of classes have forms of self-healing on the go now. I think mage is the only one that does not have in-battle healing.

So First Aid was becoming increasingly useless over the years. There were niche moments when it was used and it’s a nice RP profession, but I think many people just leveled and forgot about it. Because your class can do the same thing at no cost. Blizz probably doesn’t have much reason to revive it.

If you need bandages that badly, pick up tailoring or get some from the AH.

Otherwise, it really was rarely used outside of Vanilla.

PS, you can also go level it in Classic and BCC too.

Arcane Mages had an azerite trait that would heal them for every instant cast offensive spell. It was actually pretty overpowered, and trivialized masked vision runs in BFA.

But yeah, they’re pretty boned otherwise.

Ahh yes, removing First Aid. Another megabrain decision by the dev team lmao.
