Restore 2 soul shards
Increase spell critical strike chance 100% for 7 seconds. (Old talent room for improvement but still solid option) and poops on a tier 7 talent which it was originally in.
copy paste over Dark Soul:instability because it’s a wet noodle compared to the rest of the passives on the tree. Change my mind.
And make shadow burn baseline, to replace it’s spot in tier 2, remove cremation from PvP talents top free up a PvP talent.
Be nice to have and instant single target spender baseline, and not be locked out of all spell schools after attempting to cast chaos bolt
To shake up the constant chaos bolt spam. Sooo predictable.
Think of it this way, we all roll around with baseline 3 shards. Being able to pop Firestone and make shadow burn viable again would be a nice mix up.

Replacing dark soul: instability would be a dumb change, there is nothing wrong with it other than it being able to be purged/stolen in pvp.
Now, I can get behind a shadowburn baseline if it worked like it used to, dealing extra damage to a low hp target and if the target dies in the next 5 seconds you refund the shard and cooldown of shadowburn.
No to cremation being pulled over to replace it, Cremation wouldnt work properly in pve so it would need to be changed entirely so we may as well get something else. How about Curse of Elements making a return?
as for other changes, I would like to see rain of fire not cost shards and be channeled again. The talent makes it not require a channel and have 3 charges that you can spread out over time or use up all at once for more damage. recharge should be 15-20 seconds.
Add fel flame back into the game. We have useless crap like corruption with its subpar damage and cast time, why not actually bring back something useful like fel flame?
Now, back to firestone. I could absolutely see this as a brand new pvp talent, though I would change the functionality a small bit. One of these two, either the next 3 single target spells crit or crit chance is increased by 50% for the 7 seconds. The first option essentially takes away the power spike a chaosbolt would gain but buffs up other spells like Soulfire or conflagrate. The second option is just a blanket buff but not to the degree that chaosbolt is literally one shotting people.
I have a better suggestion
Make incinerate and immolate instant cast.
See how the logs go.
Rebalance damage from there, if needed.
Both are pathetic and weak skills that only server 1 purpose. (hilariously, incinerate is almost reaching CBs in some logs)
Hunters can cast while running (happy for them), why can’t we do the same with our weaker skills.
This would help destro greatly in mythic raiding with all the movement.
the problem with our spec isn’t only numbers.
These devs love making these movement heavy fights and don’t even think about the classes/specs that simply can’t be that mobile, essentially canning them for any sort of serious content.
You know, this gave me an idea for reworking burning rush. Make it a passive ability rather than a toggle.
You can cast spells while moving however you take 4% of your max hp for each spell that you finish casting while moving. While casting a spell your speed is increased by 30%.
Healers would want us beheaded, would be terrible for solo content.
Unless you don’t take any damage while standing still.
Honestly, having insta incinerate would be the key to making destro competitive in today’s raids, and honestly at this point i dont understand why immolate has a cast time, the damage on it is laughable.
Seeing this implemented once, at least for test purposes would be amazing.
PvEers already use burning rush in most raids. It wouldn’t be much of a change for healers.
by the way, we once had a tallent almost exactly like that, and it did us 0 damage.

When you compare it to consumes and other class talent abilitys like Eg, thistle tea/rage potion, that generate primary resource or boost it, doesn’t seem all that bad, just makes people want to silence you more no? Since a single interrupt, silence just stops you from doing anything. Make it so you have the 7 seconds to spend the 2shards or lose them.
Curse of elements sounds fine, but it’d have to take a tier 3 talent spot imo. I’d rather dark intent slightly better. Add the multistrike for omegalawl
how about making cataclysm apply corruption aswell as immolate like it used to, and removing corruption from baseline and buffing it’s damage by 75% on cataclysm application
Fel flame was a demonology ability wouldn’t suit the spec, pretty much incinerate with no cd

The rof talent sounds alright but it’d need to do a lot more DMG to consider standing still and casting it imo.
I’d stick to its roots and keep it with 50% crit for the 7. I’d rather the crit % bonus to my cb DMG. Since shard generation on bonuses for crit happen 50% of the time.
