Per month, it’s archive storage, it’s not the same as storage you can access whenever you want.
No, we don’t.
I didn’t play for over a year so i missed out but that’s some how blizzards fault
I’m pretty sure it will be back right when I finish leveling my new toon. That sounds about right for blizz.
If Blizzard did have the data somewhere, and I’m not saying they have, that would be exactly when they will being it back.
It’s blizzards fault for not thinking of the possibility that players would come back after a long break from playing. I haven’t played retail since the start of cataclysm, but if I log on my characters will be there. So it makes no sense for them not to hold onto the classic era characters for a long time as well.
You know you didn’t have to surrender all agency to a corporation, right?
Except when it comes to your character data, you literally do this when you accept their terms of service. It could literally only ever be their fault.
Oh, you had to give them the decision whether you cloned or not?
Yeah, in that case, you would have a legitimate gripe.
Maybe you should have thought about it back then instead of now too?
I already explained this, they had exactly the same character data in two places, there is no need for that.
You need to take personal responsibility for your not activating the clones where you wanted them.
It’s not the same character data if it’s in two different versions of the game.
This is exactly what happened to me - I paid, I logged in at some point during TBC, but still lost my character - Scarab Lord and near bis Naxx
You paid for a clone, and during TBC logged into Classic Era? Or logged into TBC?
You paid for a clone, and during TBC logged into Classic Era? Or logged into TBC?
Logged into both - my main continued onto Wrath, and I did log into my Classic era char a few times in TBC.
What confuses me the most about all of this is why there are 2-3 specific individuals i will leave unnamed who are working overtime to shut us down.
Why stop us from trying, just let it ride. it isnt hurting anyone except your egos.
My opinion is that blizzard still has the data in archival cold storage. Your opinion is that it is straight up dumped. Neither of us actually know for a fact if ita contained in a key backup or shredded without any foresight.
I notion this as well. My rogue that was 60, was moved over and never touched. But I also never moved them so its just rotting away.
Who knows.
I guess just take the free bumps
and record the fact that though they have exhaustively searched for an excuse/argument for Blizz on this no one has yet been able to find a good one.
And now it’s gone?
You should post in the customer support forum. They can help find missing characters.
I just don’t understand why you people keep asking for something Blizzard already said they don’t have.
In before “they said the same thing about vanilla WoW!!!”
it’s not the same thing.
You don’t understand, my cousin’s girlfriend’s brother’s friend on Reddit got his era characters back by using the restore function, thus proving beyond any doubt that blizzard still has all the data!
