nobody knew that the era servers would have a renaissance almost two years after the character copy
i hope blizzard is really regretting their decision to delete the copies. They could have made so much more money if they hadn’t, so they screwed both all of us and themselves in the process.

I spent blood, sweat and tears on my classic character. I had to deal with some RL problems so I had to stop playing for about a year… i re open my acount to get on my character just to find out im in Wotlk, something i didn’t ask for or had say in it. I really dont care about any other expancions other than classic. Ai dont have the time nowndays to level up and gear up my character… please bring back cloning for a fee. The comunity is begging for it and willing to open their wallets!

Weird thing I’ve noticed, Its the same 2 people posting in all of the clone threads hating on the people or debunking their reason as to why they didn’t clone. The reason doesn’t matter, we are simply asking for it back. I quit in TBC, had no idea cloning was allegedly free . They have to be blizzard employees or why would they stalk these threads? I mean that one EU dude literally responds to everyone who asks for it back and tries to debunk their reasoning.
Its even funnier because the majority of the people have very few posts. Its like they are the ones actually playing the game and not the debunkers with their thousands of posts.

Aftet seeing this… i belive is not possible to get our clones to classic era.
Cloning was never free, the only thing that was free was choosing either TBC or Era.
Personally I do it to tell people it’s not coming back and to show them proof of it. I don’t work for Blizzard and never have.
While you’re probably right, I think people still want something more official than a single question in a community council video. I think nothing less than a blue post by kaivax explaining the situation in detail will satisfy people. Even so, if all the character data is gone, it speaks pretty ill about blizzard’s lack of foresight and their understanding of player behavior and group dynamics/trends. Or simply they don’t really care about going out of their way to cater to their customers (something that ever company should have as their #1 priority).

We’ve already been given that.
The problem is everytime someone asks CS service for something they tell people to ask for it on the forums.
I’m talking about a new one, not one from a year ago.
But what do we need a new one for?
We don’t need Blizzard to answer the same question everytime it’s asked.
We knew the Clones were only going to be available temporarily.
When it got closer to the final end date we were told this was it.
Since then we’ve heard the data is gone several times from several different people at Blizzard.
The horse is dead.

Pretty much in the same boat as this guy.
I’d like the option I didn’t even know was made available all that time ago.
Never been interested in TBC or WotLK, and I would like my character back if possible.
Come on blizz! It’s easy money for you guys 
Blizzatd deleted all the data… they could atleats give us the option to instant lv 60 character.
At the very least, create a public poll and gauge interest from the community!
